Context on that clip where they were playing on the Simpsons Zombies Map: The buttons were for the easter egg they were playing, there were like 4 or 5 of them and needed to be pressed in a specific order, any mistake of the sequence would result in a loud buzzing noise. Vanoss and Brian were taking turns at first to mess Nogla, then it just became Brian's soundboarding the noise. In the end, they couldn't even finish the easter egg due to a bug in the last step after pressing all the buttons. Brock was just there for the ride and occasionally expressing that he doesn't want to restart again (I think it wasn't their first run)

For the Homer zombies clip with the button, there were several of those buttons you had to press in a particular order that was random each run or the map gets nuked and you died. But you could only start it after going in deep on the run if I remember right so every time they failed it was like another hour of playing to get there. EDIT: just found from another comment that Brian was doing the soundboard to make him think they were failing too
