This group has been my obsession! I enjoyed reacting to this song because it means so much to me. I can't wait to get into their other songs. I hope this music's popularity explodes with the new gen. The Cure - / @thecure

You need to watch the rock hall of fame live version of this song. After all these years he still sings and sounds like he did back in the day, it's freaking phenomenal and a honor to still see he can perform this damn amazing! 🙏😯 WOOOO!!

Disintegration is one of my desert island albums. "The Same Deep Water As You" is one of the most intense songs ever recorded.

I'm a Gen-Xer as well. Back in the 80s The Cure was considered part of the "new wave" genre. I loved that genre which included groups like New Order, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, etc.. You should do a reaction to one of these: Bizarre Love Triangle by New Order How Soon is Now by The Smiths Everything Counts by Depeche Mode

I was one of the few to get a car first in my neighborhood during high school. My neighbor hood was a super diverse group, and I drove all us to school. I played Standing On Beach a lot. And, after a while, all we all wanted to hear was the cure, on the way there.

The first time I was exposed to The Cure was back in the 90's. I was watching an episode of South Park called Mecha Streisand. Robert Smith was a guest star on it and he provided his own voice to the episode. I'd recommend that to you, Ms. Sarai.

I drunkenly txt my friend the other night thanking him for getting me into them. My jam is still Killing of an Arab cause its about my favorite book ever, The Stranger by Albert Camus. Theres this old video of them performing the song from France before they were Goth and all moody. It's wild to see them dressed like regular guys and playing in a more punk style.
WHOA! Look how vanilla he looked! Ha! Far cry from his gothic look. Great find

@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 It's the 68 yr old again, started clubbing in the latter 80's at the old age of 35 ( I looked like I was in early 20's). How different the music was first time hearing it, it was strange to me. But, I couldn't help falling head over heels for the best of it all. Didn't take me long to learn how to really dance to this. So new! Pretty soon 'twas ME that took over the little stage there!! So many guys would want to dance with me it was crazy, I refused every time. I was " in the zone" wanted to dance alone. I felt I had found heaven on earth at last!
