You-tube never blocks Queen - they want their music heard - and you can probably find a better version - in sync - . If you make a search - you can find something about how they recorded this - on tape!!! - multilayered and invented the recording with the sound "moving from side to side" - it was not done before. They were very skilled themselves - The guitarist, Brian May, built his own guitar, The Red Special, with his father - in his teens - using bits and pieces from the house (a knitting needle, a bike valve, the wood from a mantel piece - a table - some mother of pearl buttons ) and still plays it -now in his latter 70'es . The Bass player, John Deacon, holds a degree in electrical engineering and has built an amp. that Brian uses for special sounds on his guitar. There is not a thing such as Freddie Mercury and the band - there is Queen. Freddie is important and in front singing as nobody else on earth but they are Queen. All of them songwriters inducted individually in Songwriters Hall of Fame. Others have been singer at tours with Brian and Roger - but none as successful as Adam Lambert who has toured with them for more than ten years. He does not try to copy Freddie - has another style, but can sing the songs and perform - so they still tour!! - and has a full audience with our children and grandchildren as fans - . Freddie still appears on screen at the concerts.

Welcome to the Queendom. Queen has over 200 songs in its catalog. Their Live Aid performance is legendary. Also, Somebody to Love, live in Montreal is considered the best video of a live performance.

Queen dosn't block their official vids. They want Freddie & the band's talentd & to live forever! Queen fans are so loyal ... You will never have to ask for 50 views if you are reacting to QUEEN. ❤ Somebody to Love live at Montreal & Who Wants to Live Forever written by Brian May for the movie HIGHLANDER are both great😊

The a capella intro was only lead singer, Freddie, multi tracking each harmony. The operatic section is achieved using 180 overdubs to create the sound of a chorus. Four instruments, three voices and a gong created this masterpiece.Check out the short documentary “Inside the Rhapsody” on the Queen Official channel if you want to learn more. If you don’t know Queen just jump ahead to their 1985 20-minute set at Live Aid. You won’t be sorry.

So fun to see you ‘youngsters’ finding the genius of Freddie and Queen. They have many, many hits… several of which you’ll recognize if you continue your dive down the Queen rabbit hole! This song was written by Freddie (lead singer).. but all four band members are in the song writer’s hall of fame. This is thought to be the first ‘music video’.. the band was going on tour and unable to do this song on BBC ‘Top of the Pop’ TV show, so they made this video to be shown instead. BTW - you’ll need to go back a decade..this song is from the 70s, and all of their music is from the 70s and 80s; sadly Freddie died of AIDS in 1992. You’ll enjoy their music; they’re incredibly innovative and diverse.. and there are many of us ‘oldies’ who enjoy watching them being ‘discovered’ by new listeners. Great reaction.. thank-you!

I absolutely loved your reaction to this iconic song …… it is now 50 years old and still going strong. Oh YES! Please continue to react to Queen …. so many songs …. you will be amazed at how many songs you will recognize, only you didn’t know they were by Queen. Almost all of their songs are better when performed live ….. lead singer Freddie Mercury is still considered by many to be one of the greatest male singer of all time. Please react to “Somebody to Love” live in Montreal 1981. I just subscribed and can’t wait for your next Queen reaction. Thank you so much. 😊

From wikipedia A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations. Bohemianism is a social and cultural movement that has, at its core, a way of life away from society's conventional norms and expectations

To give an idea, in Britain, this is the best selling single of all time that wasn't for charity. The only songs that surpassed it were Do They Know It's Christmas (aka Feed the World, for the famine in Ethiopia), and Candle in the Wind (profits donated to charities of Princess Diana, following whose death Elton John had rewritten the song).

Welcome my young brother. Welcome to the fold. Freddy Mercury was a once in a lifetime performer fronting a once in a lifetime band. They were masters of the studio but they absolutely perfected the art of performing live. Queen is cool about copyright - so check the official site to source your vidoes. Cue up Somebody to Love (Freddy's homage to his idol Aretha that will slap you and take you to church) from 81 Montreal live concert and their 22 minute gig at 1986 Live Aid consistently voted one of the top live performances ever recorded. We can't wait to see your reactions.

Now watch the full Live Aid set of some 22 minutes. Charity concert at Wembley Stadium UK twinned with a concert in Philadelphia USA. You won't regret it in the slightest. Queen 👑 walked away victorious! They stole the show! Iconic band and iconic song. I love this song and have for 50 years. I never get tired of hearing it. This was released in 1975. There are places in this song where there are 180 multi-tracks. This was all done on 24 track tape multi-tracking and using slave tapes. FYI: Queen Official does not block. I hope you get 50 likes so you can listen to more of Queen's masterpieces. Thank you for your reaction.
