After my wife saw your butterfly cut video she decided to do it to her hair on her birthday and she did a beautiful job and managed to keep length but cut off all her dead hair and loves her hair again. Then she dyed it rainbow all by herself. She loves your videos.

@@e.erin. Thanks that was so sweet. Yes we lived a different world back then. We went out all the time to bars that played live music I loved to dance and drink! Great way to meet cute guys. Not some random guy who lives in his moms basement creepy as hell. I didn’t get married till I was 31 too much fun to be had. I didn’t live with a boyfriend either I was a wild child. Till I met the man who became my husband. Even then we had a blast together. I may be older but I was lucky to have been young in a great time 💖👍😘🍺🍷💋☮️

Dear Brad Mondo: I am 57 years old. During the Coronavirus lockdown, my mother became ill. Taking care of Mom, left me no time for myself. I let my hair get longer and longer - I needed haircuts - I had no time or money. I did your Wolf Cut, later Butterfly Cut. My hair turned out GREAT! I love you! People were stopping me and complementing me on my hair, and asking who did it. Brad, I gave you all of the credit. You are performing such an important service - I wanted you to know that.

I saw another comment that said this, but I need to see it as well: thank you for not just having videos of people in their 20s, but women 30+, as well. I’m a very young 43, and I follow trends and I’m not ready to conform to an old lady brown bob. So thank you for the representation!
@misskim2058
@misskim2058 Жыл бұрын
Following trends doesn’t make one an individual, or cool, just another lemming, following whatever others say is cool. Might as well get a brown bob…there ARE things in between. Kool-aid hair, silver hair…pretty much just looks childish. Even on children. These days, it’s like those lemmings just don’t wanna grow up. They want to play pretend about EVERYTHING, and throw a screaming fit if the world won’t play with them. They want to pretend they are the opposite sex or something in between, or part (or full) animal, or fairy, or whatever else. Fact: they are not. They want to play “guess what I’m thinking, and if you guess wrong, I’ll throw a hissy fit”, with the world. Fact: Nobody cares about their desire to misalign themselves with facts, especially the facts of life, and people simply do not care if that makes them feel sad inside, because nobody owes them happy feelings to go with their delusions. They want to tell people what to think and to say. But none of them can explain why they think they have the right to tell other people what to think and what to say. Fact on fact: They don’t. They don’t have any such right. They actually believe the world owes them not to feel sad inside, and that the world should pander to their delusions, and anyone who disagrees with them “hates” them and makes them “feel unsafe”’inside. Fact: the world owes them precisely nothing at all. Common courtesy to any fellow human is just that, a courtesy, and yes, civil people ought to afford that to others. That is, when those other people are exhibiting that same level of courtesy themselves. When they don’t, and they don’t, then all bets are off. And the sane people with common sense who have backed down should just stop being defensive, and simply say fine, they do hate it (they usually don’t actually hate anybody, but they are disgusted, and they detest their minds and their behavior. You can hate what people think and do, but still love them as a human being. You can pity them and their delusions and their insanity. You can pity how lost they are, when they’re following anyone who massages their ego, dries their tempter-tantrum tears, agrees with every thought they express, every bad decision they make, no matter how detrimental and short sighted it is, (regardless of the fact that they often think they have given it plenty of time for consideration, and they have consulted “experts“, of course, these “experts” are people they deliberately sought out, having looked for someone who would support their viewpoint (because no one told them to learn to set their own ego aside, leave it at the door, drop it down, let it go, eschew it, and deliberately seek opposing viewpoints, to deliberately try to tear down one’s own world view, and find every way possible to try to debunk it, and that can, and absolutely must go to many deeper levels, to debunking the debunked; and then to the debunking of the debunking is debunked; and then the debunking of the debunking that debunked is debunked; and then the debunking of the debunking that debunked the debunking is likewise debunked; and then that debunking debunks the debunking of the debunking of the debunked that debunked; and then the debunking of the debunking that debunked the debunked of the debunked debunking is debunked, and so forth. And anyone who does all this, and only keeps and accepts as fact only that which they themselves can prove to themselves, not by “experts”, not by highly intelligent people, not by highly influential people, not by highly wealthy people, not by the best of the best, but only by one’s own self…only then can one begin to even slightly believe anything that one belies might actually have any truth in it. And few care to even think of it, let alone try it, let alone even begin to dig when most around them are quite comfortable in their own. And wont earn any respect (because respect is something you have to earn, it’s not something that’s handed out equally to everyone, nor should it be.“ Equal“ is a ridiculously stupid goal. Balance, harmony, complimenting, others, those are worthy goals. But “equality”?, total nonsense. Rubbish, silly, absolutely ridiculous and worthy of ridicule. Is a banana equal to a strawberry, bunny rabbits, rosebushes, and giant oak trees? Of course not. Why would you ever try to make anything equal? Things and people can be harmonious, and complementary, and balance each other out, but they can’t all be equal. What a truly ridiculous notion. Laughable. It’s like an IQ fail. If one cannot grow up, face the facts, and leave one’s ego at the door, then one can never be sure if one has ever found anything true, and will come to life’s end, (and hopefully will be granted the time to have such ponderings), and will be wondering if the time was well-spent, and what path one was supposed to walk that whole time in mode, when instead one chose to refuse to discover it, in favor of becoming a follower of the equally lost…the “trendsetter”…to that and if one is not a lover of truth, and an ardent seeker of it, truth, that is, then one is doomed to be lost, and to make many foolish decisions, and perfectly willing to overlook long term and extremely negative immediate or future consequences, in pursuit of what they believe will fill some empty hole, ease some aching heart, assure positive self-esteem, and it won’t. It simply won’t. So for those who call them out on it, if in fact they did hate them and not just their total waste of life hours and their wandering, lost and dragging others along in their lost-ness, well, in truth, it’s their prerogative to hate other people if they want to. It’s not illegal to have feelings (although these people would like to make it illegal for anyone to have feelings that they don’t like… of course, they don’t ever want that shoe put on the other foot, they want to hate anyone that doesn’t like them, anyone that doesn’t agree with them. They want to silence everyone who doesn’t agree with them, call them names, and then run away when they are caught in their own contradictions and absolute illogical CLAIMS, and they get furious if anyone points out their hypocrisy, or basic lack of logic or common sense. They even try to get such comments as this yanked down because it bruises their egos)… Don’t follow trends. Such people go nowhere but off the cliff of someday. Now, Brad here is adorable and we love him. It’s impossible not to love him. And he has helped possibly millions cut their own hair, and add their own thing to it, he’s the type to encourage that. But good Lord, the childish hair on grown women, that’s got to go. It’s bad enough on children. It just screams “I can’t face reality in any way shape, or form…and that’s everyone’s prerogative also…and it’s other’s prerogative to draw their own conclusions about the mental state and reliability of such people.

I have fine hair and very straight so this is perfect for giving body and texture. I took pictures but I guess I can’t post them. I curl my hair a ton so my ends were fried and this cut took mostly all of that away without taking my length away. I took about 3” off using the length of the scissors as a guide. Definitely recommend this and don’t be scared!

Brad needs to find more women like her and bring them onto his videos. The elderly ladies with the multi-colored/ solid neon/ any crayon color type of hair need to be presented more. If I was an elderly lady with white hair, .... YES PLEASE DYE IT FUN FUNKY COLORS!! The woman in the end is clearly living her best life. We all need to take notes from her. I know Brad is already taking mental notes like "Yas queen!, work that tutorial." However... elderly women with white hair, 10-50% white... PUT A SEMI PERMANIT FUN COLOR ON IT. They say they wish they had hair like mine and I tell them they can and try to encourage them to have a go for themselves. I love seeing older ladies with fun coloured hair. My hair is almost 100% salt'n'pepper so I never bleach it. I just try out new colours straight over the top of what I have and hope for the best. Other than yellow turning brown as it fades I'm always happy with the results. It's an adventure every single time.

Last week, I was at the salon getting my hair colored. For S&Gs, I had my stylist give me a butterfly cut by following along with the video. Obviously because she is a professional, it came out fantastic but it was fun to do regardless and my stylist learned what the butterfly cut is. Also, it knocked easily 10 years off of me. I’ve since done a blonde under layer (my hair is copper) and am going to add purple to the blonde this week. That single butterfly cut video prompted a huge hair makeover for me and I am feeling it.

During lockdown, I was so grateful my hairdresser had taught me a few things to not have to go back to her every other week, but finding your videos has made me gather the courage to try new things while not being able to see my hairdresser. When I finally got an appointment with her again, she was amazed at how much I was able to do with my hair, and how much I had gone out of my comfort zone to find something I ended up loving. Not just with cutting my hair, but with dyeing it in bright colours too. So of course I told her about you. And now we often talk about your videos, as she's made sure to follow you and has been trying to watch all your videos. This hairdresser is also the only one who always has positive things to say about my hair, while most of my family seems to dislike it or see it as attention seeking (yes, I want attention! and there's nothing wrong with it)

I decided to do the butterfly cut after rocking the same - length 24 inch- ish hair for a few years. I LOVED how it came out. I didn't touch it up at all after either. my only criticism would be for the people with longer hair, I would actually recommend cutting off more in the back than the front because I noticed once I let my hair down that the last layer still had lots of split ends on it. i also want to thank brad for all you do because due to my severe anxiety, i cant go to a hair salon like most people so i have to learn and adapt to be able to do these things at home. so THANK YOU LOVE

I'd been wanting to do the "hush cut" that's Korean and I think that's just another name for the butterfly cut. So I cut mine last night RIGHT BEFORE A WEDDING TODAY. Followed all of the instructions and it turned out soooo gooooood! Everyone asked where I got my haircut from. 😂 I do have ten years of experience in cutting my own hair off so it seemed pretty easy and it turned out just as I wanted. I've got a mixture of a diamond and square face shape and not many haircuts suit me but this cut gave me a huge transformation. Thanks Brad. 😌

@DaniDiva182 yes. I have long hair and several cowlicks, so getting the part totally even all the way across, then making sure all of the hair was totally flat to the head and even in the pony took some time. If you watch the videos of people screwing this haircut up, you'll notice that the biggest problem they have is they're not prepping it correctly and throwing their hair into messy ponies too quickly. They end up with scraggly, uneven disasters because they are careless. I cut my hair this way every time now, and I shared in another post that I have figured out a trick to even prepping and cutting that only takes me a couple of minutes from start to finish. I don't have to adjust anything afterward because I take care to prep it right, and it looks great. If you want to get into it, I can also talk about my neck and shoulder issues that make it hard to do stuff over my head. My trick eases this problem as well. But I digress.
