Hi brad! Dog groomer here:) our shears are built a little bit differently in terms of their weight and balance, but for the most part the edges are the same. I trim my moms hair with some of my grooming scissors all the time. And you’re right, some dogs do have hair like humans, while other dogs have fur. Hair grows until you cut it, and fur grows to a genetically predetermined length. If you have a dog that needs frequent haircuts, it probably has hair. If you have a dog that doesn’t need trimming and sheds a lot, your dog has fur

I'm 59, box dyed {don't cry, I didn't know how much easier this way to dye really is, until now} bright copper for 20 years. 14 months ago I lost one of my twin teenage sons suddenly, and when the first anniversary was coming up this past September, I needed something to kick me into living again. I chopped off my hair and I used Arctic Fox purple AF which is a violet purple, and love it! This month I've changed to a bluer purple... Lunar Tides in nightshade and a dark teal, cerulean sea, accenting for Halloween. After Halloween, I'm doing the whole head with the dark teal from LT. After the new year, it will be aquamarine ocean blue. This hair coloring with non traditional colors has indeed brightened my life. It makes me have color on me despite my emotional mood that day. In the sun, these colors absolutely freaking glow! Took even ME by surprise, let alone the apartment residents' surprise. A 59 year old woman walking out her door like that. I can dress eclectic looking as well, at times. It's just me..the tie dyed sheep of the family. Once I grow it out again, I'm trying rainbow.

You can learn anything on YT especially on this channel! My fourteen year old grand niece (I am guardian) asked me to trim her hair and give her bangs during lockdown. I said sure but after your virtual classes. Well, she didn't want to wait and got carried away with scissors. She butchered her whole head especially in the bangs area and comes to me crying. I watched some videos and cut her a cute little pixie that looked amazing and hid the area she cut down to the scalp. I was really nervous because while I do cut boys hair regularly at home, I've never cut a pixie on a girl especially my niece who is short on patience and very impulsive.

I watch these to remind myself that I cannot do this. That one girl had me thinking I could use her as a tutorial... somebody stop me😂

Congratulations Brad. Several videos ago you said you wanted long hair again, then you started growing it out, and look at you now; you've passed the awkward mushroom stage successfully taming it along the way. I commend you on your patience in resisting the urge to chop it off again. I hope you soon have the long flowing locks of your dreams. Oh, and... *cough * Slayyyyy! Werk that slicked back bob serving "I just ran my hands through my hair & it came out effortlessly perfect" realness. 😉❤ (Note: I mean this both sincerely & playfully)

I so appreciate that you put in a good (non-pro) haircut! Sometimes too many fails in a row can get heavy and defeating, but it's a nice reminder that if you pay attention, do your research, and actually APPLY that research it's possible to get good results.

You should make a video about different types of really short hair! Not just pixie, so we could have a little diversity!

I buzzed my hair off with dog hair clippers. They worked really well, if I'm perfectly honest. I had a nice even 1/3 inch fuzz over my whole head that I then bleached and dyed a beautiful pale pink

Omg don't tempt me!! I've been getting the hair cutting itch these past few days and I have an electric dog hair trimmer 😭
@abbienormals1669 Жыл бұрын
@@Moocow2003 Lol I'd been debating it for years. I'd had long hair until a few months before that and wanted to go straight from long to buzzed, but my mom talked me out of it, so I had a pixie cut in between the long hair and buzz cut.

Am I alone in enjoying the videos of successes more than failures? I love the successful ones! I don't think they're boring at all. It's always an adventure to try cutting your own hair - even the best stylists can't see the back of their heads - so that's where the drama in the video is for me. I vastly prefer the ones where everything works out in the end.
