I suggest people not spend another dime on this game. They got greedy and didn’t keep up with making the game interesting. I originally became interested in this game purely because of nostalgia. Later developed a liking for the FFBE characters themselves. Even spent a good chunk of change on it. I sorta agree some of the best times were the 7 star era but the beginning to a little bit later. Power creeping and letting old units wither didn’t help much. I also think there was too much global stuff and they should have just stuck to what jp had

I totally agree with you. Anniversary is coming up and those whales are still gonna whale unfortunately. Global isn't helping their cause by having the title screen a picture of their fundamental forces characters and not said main characters that ppl have grown to love.

If they do shut down, I hope they persevere the game in an Offline Version because the story of Season 1 and 2 were amazing (I quit as soon they dropped season 4 so I don’t know how good it is)

I don't blame you. Season 3 was pretty awful. Season 4 is good and players have the option to go straight to play it. Hopefully they'll have an offline version. We didn't get one with the treasure known as Mobiüs Final Fantasy.

Square Enix uses a big chunk of money from both their mobile games and the money they make from FF14 as a funding resource for their AAA games and FFBE is still in the upper portion of those games so I think Square Enix themselves will try to keep it around even if Gumi goes down under.

a big takeaway for people should be to remember that there is NEVER an offline version that happens later. In the history of japanese mobile games, only like 5 have ever had offline versions and NONE came from SE.

Hmm, might not shut down but probably going into skeleton mode, probably explains the message from Hiroki, they couldn't hide this news so they had to say something. A big thing with this would be Aster Tatariqus, which died fast in JPN and never came out in global to my knowledge, a big chunk of that 37 million and the 80 employees are coming from JPN gumi not GL.

Even if people don't leave, they're already posting losses. They need people to spend, but future sight lets people horde and even avoid spending on the good units. I'm pretty sure they're just trying to make it to the end of Season 4, which would make a good ending point. So they didn't announce EoS yet, because that's at over 6 months away since even JP hasn't finished S4 yet, and they're past the 8.5 anni.

Yeah, the anniversary is the biggest thing they have to do well, because if people don't care, that's the end. After that they either need to ramp up or innovate and both of which are unlikely, so the alternative is to bring back a lot of skipped content, clean up the pool, give more, and change some ways of thinking as we the players has told them for years the issues and we were ignored. The one thing they get respect for is keeping the game running for 8 years, that is close to the 10 year goal they had set.

To be honest, if they could have fixed the NV pool, its not gonna be that bad. Knowing that they still remain the old and unreliable units in the NV pool, just another way of saying : You accept the terms and conditions for our game. Feel free to "work hard" on paying your credit card bills. (Only when you're working hard, then you'll be able to pull the units you want) . Summarize, its something that thr devs have to change. Thank you, Deus for still making this video. Lets wait for them to announce before we jump into conclusion that the game is at it's final stage.

I cant understand why another company takes care of the ip. Its easy to continue with the game just translating it. If there is no content whats the reason to pull for new units? And id they solve this we will have a significant ammount of lapis to pull for good unita, unless they make them very expensive.

...you can't convince me that this game lost 37 million. There's no way it had that much put into it. Losing 80 people seems insanely high as well. I would not have thought that there were 40 people working on this game as of late.

Seems like they've been throwing money into projects that haven't had the take-up they expected. So now they're focusing on partnership projects rather than risky stuff.

I deleted FFBE…I miss it sometimes…but the overall useless and mindless grind just made it feel like a chore…I hope they create a new one after this ones dies off that is 3D and open world

I mean stop making every unit a copy and paste dps unit that gets power creeped on in 2 months or less, make supports good again, give more free lapis, and have intresting unit design.

This game has been garbage for 5 years. They added to many new characters and no improved way of getting them. I stopped playing 5 years ago and come to see how it's doing, and I can never understand why people still play this game. It hasn't made any good improvements in that time from my thoughts. I watch pull videos, and it's such crap almost every video I watch. Thanks for making the videos, though it's interesting to look at them from time to time. Do you remember the Dyer days when he would pull and pull and pull? Just wondering.
