The vocals, the drumming, the atmosphere, the twists and turns…all those things are amazing, but what really puts Sleep Token in a class above is the lyricism. Not only what he says , but the poetic and nuanced delivery. I’ve been listening to music a long time, and This is my all-time favorite album. When you follow the story of the lyrics and vibe through the EP’s and three albums, Euclid may be to most finally crafted album closer of all time. So many references, and a nice bow tie on years of anguish, and sadness. He’s “someone New.”…..just perfect song writing

Sleep Token is the only band worth paying attention to. No other artist I've found cares about their craft as much as my boys. Worship ❤

Sleep token is my favorite band but that’s a ridiculous thing to say. There are a BUNCH of bands worth paying attention to! Bilmuri, Periphery, House of protection, Zeal & Ardor, Loathe, Vianova, Bloodywood. Just to name a few. So much great music

ST uses genres to convey emotion and mood. For example, hip hop/rnb is laid back and almost trying to make a point, as with metal and screaming he is pissed and upset. This bad is nothing short of genius and so epic. Worship!!!!

This band uses All the Colours (yes, British spelling is appropriate here). Every shape, every colour, every texture of sound are used to paint a portrait of the ebb and flow of an emotional journey from darkness to light and everything in between. From floaty ambience, to echoing chamber music, to soulful ballads, to all out thrash, and back again. Every style, every genre are seamlessly blended to create a unique experience. Putting a number on it would indeed be a disservice. If there is a single unifying characteristic it is "hyper-novelty". There is literally no place they won't go to tell a story. They keep you guessing on when a beat will drop, when or whether a chord will resolve. Are we on a heroe's journey? A villain's descent into madness? Or neither? Am I supposed to feel happy or sad? Wistful or enraged? Hopeful or engulfed in ennui? I dunno, let me have another listen. What I can say is that for me, music is the language of emotion so my real measure of a band is do they make me feel something unique and is it something which strengthens or weakens on repeated listening. For me, S.T. has the quality that the more I listen to it the more I want to listen to it. I can only name a few bands who have ever had that effect on me in 53 years on this planet.

@@Gleam89Also, 'Are You Really Ok?' is 'When The Bough Breaks' part II. Or at least inspired by the same event.

@@davidpwolfe - There's little nods all the way through Euclid, but you don't always realise until you're listening and then think "What is it...? What feels so familiar about that bit? Where have I heard this before?", then realisation dawns and it hits you like a sledgehammer and it's *such* a wonderful feeling when your brain clicks in and makes all the connections.
