"those bastards" "fuck them" Exactly what I was saying mid tears through so much of this album. I completely do not understand how they can have such genius, to create this ride, they hit all possible emotions to me, and the brilliance of the last song, how can you make such a perfect song to actually feel like a conclusion, a happy feeling, joyous, and then the callback... Emotionally, lyrically, completely unmatched, no band has ever made me feel so many different emotions, so easily, Vessel is one of those very rare people in history that can truly express/explain emotions and find the perfect words to connect with who is listening. And I don't even have to mention the sound, quality of play, the choices, the small touches like using the animal sounds, the ups and downs, raw feeling, yet calculated. I still can't believe this is real.
@SteveOGRock Жыл бұрын
You’ve put that very well, João. It has everything in it, but it’s all perfectly aligned. It’s not cluttered by trying to do to much. Immensely balanced, technically brilliant, yet entirely human and real. It’s quite the magic act.

As a newer fan is the callback from a song from a previous album?

@@melonort13 yes, this is the 3rd album in a trilogy of sorts. The very first song on the first album was called “The Night Does Not Belong To God.” In this song for the first time Vessel sings “the night belongs to you” which is a full stop from there. The final part in Euclid is a reprise of a section of that original song too, which is absolutely wonderful.

I've probably watched a few dozen ST album reactions since this album dropped, and i enjoyed yours the most. Good work

That’s very kind of you to say, John. Thank you for that. I’m thrilled to hear you found it worth while ❤️

Ive been deep diving into reactions as of late to try to get that feeling of hearing it for the first time back again. This is the first ever full album review I’ve seen and the excitement of this stumble is something to be rivaled. Your reactions are phenomenal and thank you for giving us this! ❤

Dude, since the sleep token bug has bitten me I am watching so many reactions. Yours is the best. I saw them last week Sunday in Frankfurt....there I was, 49 years old, like a little fanboy with literally tears in my eyes. They openen with the night doesn't belong to God and ended with Euclid....I am still in the zone from that concert and i can honostly say that they are now my favorite band. They are just top level!
@angieforeverlost940315 сағат бұрын
I agree! I hadn't started listening to them until after they toured here in the states & I'm so upset I missed being able to go. If they ever come back here, I'm glad to hear that I won't be the only older person there. I just turned 50 last month. God, it makes me feel even older seeing my age typed out. 😆

So, new fan here, both of sleep token and yourself 😂. You pointed out the background chatter in aqua regia which I’d always heard as just background noise. I went back and listened again and heard dishes clattering and people talking. I’d never heard that before. You’ve helped me listen to music closer which is fuckin awesome. Instant sub. Thank you. As for the music, because of how good the first 5 tracks were (didn’t care for DYWTYLM upon 1st listen, but love it now) I was expecting maybe 2 more bangers and the rest filler tracks. In my honest opinion not only were there no filler tracks, but they left the best songs for last. Holy shit they’re good. I’ll be 41 this year. I’ve never found music that reaches me like this band has. Crazy stuff. Maybe something to the whole mystical/supernatural personas after all! 😂 Worship

Your reaction was priceless Steve. Watching you brought on tears of joy because I had the same reaction (especially during Ascensionism and the end of Euclid. The callback got me everytime. Those bastards!). What-an-album!

Those bastards indeed! I mean how bloody dare they. Playing with us mortals like this. Unfair.

It's so absolutely beautiful watching you hear all those songs .. those for the very first times especially, thank you for that so much! It just pure happiness all over your face, thanks for spreading this healing album 🫶

There are plenty of great reactions to the album out there. Yours was my favorite. For the emotion, for the honesty, for the ability to articulate what this song is doing for you. But my favorite aspect of your reaction is that you have the wherewithal to recognize when a powerful part of a song is beginning and to stop talking and just take it in. So many reactors fumble and talk through moments that really need to be experienced… the one that comes to mind is when in tmbte the lyrics starts…”I guess it goes to show does it not, we have no idea what we’ve got until we lose it”,,, those lines and the few that follow break me every time.
@SteveOGRock Жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew, I massively appreciate it. Yeah, it’s a tricky balance. I want to verbalise my inner thoughts and experience but I also don’t want to miss anything. I want as full an experience as I can get. It’s hard but I do my best. Glad to hear it seems to be working in your view ❤️

I'm just leaving another comment to help your engagement stats. My partner doesn't get Sleep Token so I showed him your videos to help him understand that this band is literally genius even if he's not vibin. He appreciates the drums at least now!

Heheh you’re very kind. Yeah my wife absolutely dislikes ST, but I showed her Euclid and she said “ok this is actually a very beautiful song”. Quite a concession! Lol.

Also, the homage back to the some of the lyrics from the old albums in "Take Me Back to Eden". Only true sleep token would catch them. *chefs kiss*

No matter how many times I've listened to this song or how hard I try, I could NEVER resist the wave of emotions that completely washes over me when I hear Euclid. A pure and an absolute tribute to all the fans! They tie it all together with callbacks to the first album as a conclusion to this magical album...
