Fun fact: my parents used to use me as a paranormal monitor when I was like 1-2 yrs. I'd start looking at something not there, follow it till it stopped, start giggling just before an object would move. My 4th grade teacher pulled me out of class 1 day to ask me if it's become a problem the increase of seeing things that aren't there for others has gotten. Made me realize the more you give attention the more they realize they're being noticed and they'll want more attention cause they're not only invisible to everyone

So here’s a funny/creepy story: So idk… maybe about twenty years ago my parents watched The Ring. Obviously it scared the heck out of them. My dad couldn’t sleep for months and every time he went to bed he would imagine a little girl with dark hair standing in the corner of his room. Then about maybe 15 yrs later (after him and my mom got married) he would sometimes here tapping on the door of their bedroom. It wasn’t loud, it was very faint. He would get up to investigate. He would go to the door and nobody would be there. Then he turned to his right and there was a little girl with dark hair spilling over her face. That girl… was my little annoying sister coming to sleep with them when she couldn’t go to sleep. This happened a lot when she was little. Now admit it, I had you in the first half. Edit: I just wanna say that this is my dad’s story and it’s definitely real, I just extended it making it scarier

As a former sleepwalker, I can confidently say that those were all perfectly normal sleepwalking behaviors. I used to move furniture, knock over books, hide things, pull everything out from under my bed before laying down there and pulling the things back in front of me, and carry on full conversations with people. I apparently even ran a bath and climbed in one time when I was much younger.

I used to work night maintenance at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. After closing time, the majority of the lights were set to dim or completely go off. I was in the building overnight alone, and being in the dimly lit dining area with all the old photos and artifacts they had as decorations was very creepy. The music also turned off after closing, so it was just me mopping the floors in dark silence with stoic photos of long dead people staring at me. Talk about a creepy night job, lol.

I’m an adult and hate being home alone all night. When I am, I turn most the lights on in the house all night. 🙈. House settling noises can sound like footsteps upstairs 🫣. Dark hallways and staircases? Nah, I’m not for that! Lights on! Though I will say having a cat makes it not as bad. My sister used to sleepwalk on rare occasions, when we were younger we had a two story house, the stairs did the going down, platform, and then down again the rest of the way. My mum said that one night they looked to see her standing on the platform with our family dog in her arms (she was a light weight dog, medium height) Just standing there. They carefully led her back to her room, our family dog just laid back down on her bed and she stayed in bed the rest of the night.
