The reactions to "Xie Lian you *wound* me" are hilarious and absolutely spot on James Cheek is such an amazing voice actor and he really brings Hua Cheng's voice to life. Hearing he read the books and wrote the dub is such commitment and you can tell.

Just Hua Cheng in this episode, every single line, especially about being “wounded” Xie Lian would think he’d go to a brothel, how dangerous it is that Xie Lian keeps the door always open for him, and calling his ashes, his very life, a trinket he thought Xie Lian would like… These lines and his voice were just playing on repeat for 24 hours after I watched the episode making me smile. ☺☺☺ I loved your reactions to Hua Cheng, especially when you said does this not scream queer!? I was rolling with laughter!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 And I absolutely love the armory scene, loved how it essentially paralleled Beauty and the Beast, only unlike Beast, Hua Cheng already knew Xie Lian for years.
