Unfortunately, Thompson Twins disbanded in 1993. Tom Bailey, the lead singer, continues performing solo under the name Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey. He and Alannah Currie, the girl from this band, dated for several years and got married either in the late 80's or early 90's. They had children together and moved to New Zealand where Alannah is originally from. Unfortunately, they got divorced in the early 2000's and both moved back to the UK, separately. Both of them have remarried with their respective spouses. Out of the Thompson Twins members, Tom Bailey is the only that still is linked to the music business. Alannah quit the music business around the mid-90's and became an environmentalist and visual artist. Joe Leeway, the other member of Thompson Twins, quit the band in 1986 and then he became involved in hypnotherapy and has a certification in neuro-linguistic programming.

For a long time, I mostly cringed at my memories from the 80's and that included the music. But around 7-8 years ago I began to realise my love of some 80's music once again, and it started to grow. When I watched the episode of Black Mirror called 'San Junipero,' that pretty much re-ignited a long lost love of that era when I grew up. This was one of my favourite songs when I was a kid and it was so good a few years to hear it again after so long.

I liked this and You Take Me Up a lot back then, think I had the single for the latter. I didn't know Doctor Doctor as much at the time, but may be the best of the lot. I also liked Tin Tin in the years before, so it was nice to see a group obviously named after that comic.
