Actually I agree. I sew as well and I love learning from KZbinrs like you but I am a modern rocker art deco glamour bright colours no pastels type person. So pastels, crop tops and ruffles, lace and lettuce hems aren't quite my thing much as I appreciate learning how to do them and I appreciate the effort. So if I could see more stuff that I would love to make for myself that would be amazing. Right now I am trying to work out how to drape a certain kind of top that goes straight across the neck and collarbone and out slightly over the shoulders kind of like an upside down v.

my FAVORITE method is to seam rip out the waistband and take darts from either between the pockets or seam rip out the back seam and side seams and then resew them with strong thread and take in the waistband separately/reattach. edit: Lydia naomi has a great video on that

FYI I'm pretty sure the "Normal is Boring" embroidery project includes the colors of pride flags. The 'normal' looks like a lesbian pride flag and I think the 'is boring' might be some form of nonbinary identity (or maybe somewhere on the asexual spectrum?). That might not be what the person intended at all, but I thought it'd be cool if that's what they meant.
