Layover concept suits with V so much and I'm glad he decided to value his true artistry. You can tell it's a bit risky to come up with a totally slow tempo type of song for the title track while others follow the trends. One of his best solo album so far out of BTS members.

I don't know if you noticed in the Fri(end)s mv, but the scene in the restaurant where lots of couples appear is a very beautiful and significant scene to have in a kpop mv, because it includes couples of different ages and a lot of queer representation. In a homophobic country like Korea, this is a big and beautiful step to see and it makes the mv even more significant.

Yes. Taehyung sexiness is different. He is not just drop dead gorgeous but he is also very attractive. His sexy aura and vibe, his gestures, his voice, the quality of it when singing , his movements and his calm way of talking, etc is very classy and sophisticated. He truly is a cut above the rest. I loved your reaction Johan. V's music style is deeper and at the same time has a calm vibe, so your reaction was perfect, you were just enjoying the masterpiece that this album is. It is my comfort album and of all the BTS members it is my favorite album. Now, for the fri(end)s song and the mv... it is a single that is not on the Layover album and was only released in 2024. I really liked the song, but I agree that the songs on the album are more special, they make it feel something deeper. The mv is a masterpiece too and although there are many theories, some are more accurate than others. Some say that the first scene of the mv is him just being someone who feels alone and that's why he often notices the couples around him, because it seems like everyone is in a relationship except him, that's why he appears to be upset and jealous, because he also wants to love. And he dies the first time, run over by a couple in love, yet he is alone on the floor while everyone is busy dating. His death in the mv is the physical representation of "let's put the (end) in fri(end)s". In the second scenario, he is in a relationship, because he put the "end" in friends. So, that he's dating, he can't see anyone other than his girlfriend and that's basically what happens to people in love, so even though the rest of the world is in chaos, he's at peace because he's with the one he loves. However, he's distracted by love and he doesn't notice that a car with a couple arguing comes towards him and he dies once again, but if you notice in the mv, this time he is not alone on the ground, he has his girlfriend next to him worried, so this time he dies with a smile on his face. But this time, this death does not mean the death of friendship to become love, but rather the death of love itself, the death of the relationship and that is why he wakes up alone with himself the next day. He dies smiling, which means that the end of the relationship is not necessarily bad. And the fact that he wakes up single again, but this time he is no longer alone, proves exactly that, showing that if you enjoy your own company you won't feel alone, even if you're not in a relationship. The lesson that the mv shows is that if you are looking for love, the most important thing is to be friends with yourself first and love yourself first. And I agree with that. This album was produced by Min Hee Jin of ADOR rather than the usual BigHit producers. That’s why they are so creative and visually stimulating and beautiful. She is well known for this type of work.

I loved your reaction. You’re so right. It feels more like the music takes centre stage rather than the idol themselves. His favoured genre if old school - jazz and R&B. As his first album he wanted to explore the music that he loves himself. It feels like him and is very different from his BTS persona.

It's a stand in for his own dog Yeontang as it has a weak heart so didn't fly out to Spain with him where the MV's were all shot. The first one was shot in a real cave. There is a live of him where Yeontang followed him out onto the stage while he sang live with a live audience. The dog is a Pomeranian. None of the MV's were filmed in the US as I said they were filmed in Spain you know a country in Europe where the Spainish people come from. It's land borders are with France and Portugal. So no where near the USA.
