Hey @ 9:55 I've done this several times with my 2005 GTO, I did have a hitch to get the John boat to the ramp, but was scared of sliding into the water so kept the car up on dry ramp and slid it back on some mule tape. Qualified captain moments.

That was some funny stuff. 🤣 I wish we had phone's with video capabilities when I first moved to Indiana. I saw a lot of crazy antics at the boat ramps up there. One incident, a guy was launching his 2 person paddle boat out of his truck bed and backed into the water. As he was trying to get his 2 wheel drive truck out of the water, the high wind blew his boat out into the lake. By the time he got his truck up the ramp and got out to tie off his boat, it was floating half way to the other side of the 300 acre lake. Well that's not the end of the story. He then left. We thought he got upset and went to get help. Nope. He drove over to the other side of the lake and parked in the hunters parking lot. Then walked through the woods to the bank of the lake, about 3/4 of a mile. Walked the bank until he got to where his boat was floating to. He had to wait for about 45 minutes. Then to our surprise, he paddled his boat back to the ramp dock. Then walked back to his truck, about 5 miles through the woods. Then came back and loaded his boat up and left. We saw that he was staying at the campgrounds. So we drove around and found out where he was camping. He was a good sport about it and was laughing as he was telling his wife about it as we pulled up. We told him that if we had known he was camping there my cousin and I would have driven him around to the other side of the lake. I know he didn't want to stay too long to talk, because that was embarrassing. But it made for a good story to tell around the camp fire. He said his kids and wife would never have believed him if my cousin and I hadn't come by to validate what he was telling his wife. That's just one of many that I've seen.

Only way out is get it up on level ground to distribute the weight more evenly. Stop or back up & try to stop & the rear weighted boat & trailer will lift,flip or drag ya backwards. Just pray & keep slow steady forward.

We watched a little 14 foot fishing boat with 3 guys come in one time but noticed it was riding a little lower than normal, just plowing through the water. They get to the ramp and the boat is still on the trailer. Guy jumps out, gets the truck, backs down the ramp, his buddy puts the tongue back on the hitch and they drive right off.

Back when I was just maybe 8 years old my father let me load our jet ski onto the trailer for the 1st time and everything was fine until i grabbed a handful and I jumped off the bunks on the trailer over the wench bounced off the tailgate and landed right into the bed of my fathers 07 Toyota Tacoma I thought he was gonna kill me for sure safe to say that was my last time loading the trailer for a few years lol 😂 I had another incident last year where I hooked up the trailer to the truck and forgot to latch it the night before we then towed over 16 miles launched the boat and then even made it all the way home before any of us realized the problem😥
