You have your entire life to make mistakes and correct them. There’s a lot of things when being a first time parent that seems to feel like everything’s magnified and over analyzed. But that’s just the learning curb. The other kids will be contrast opposite parenting, more with each child!❤ Give yourself tons of space for grace because doing everything right they can still take the wrong path and make an all the mistakes they can still turn out great. It’s literally all in gods hands and all you can do is the best you can do. Period! Love and grace is the best thing you can give yourselves and your children.

I never thought of it as either "sheltering" or "training" so much as just letting them be free to enjoy childhood without being forced to deal with things they aren't really old enough or ready enough to understand and deal with. It's one reason why I hate the people who try to force kids to transition and stuff like that -- they are forcing kids to do stuff that they should never be forced to deal with.

As a working mom that took my breastfed babes to work (as the lone secretary at a lumber yard and construction company responsible for everything from answering the phone to hopping on the forklift to unload trucks) with me for the first year (one 40 hours/wk and the other 20 hours/wk) an eat, play, sleep routine was a life saver. Tracy Hogg's book Secrets of the Baby Whisperer was amazing for us! I highly recommend for parents that have the kids with them 24/7 with work to do.

Hi Tory, so my daughter went through a phase where she preferred nursing on one side as well, I used a nursing pillow and propped her on it along side my body on the side that she didn’t like as much, I was able to trick her into thinking she was nursing on her preferred side. You might give that a try with Micah.

Definitely thought this was going to be more serious 😅 but it was super fun! 😊 Its definitely more on the controversial side, but I would suggest, if youre open to it and can find a good recommendation, taking micah to a chiropractor and see if his neck is out of alignment, that's what was going on with my son when he was preferring one side vs the other. Our chiropractor is extremely gentle though. It's always something though, isnt it?! 😅 prayers to you all 💗
