I agree, the movement mechanics are the only difference. BO1 and BO2 are very similar movement wise. I’m a fan of clunkier slow movements. Cold War updated the movement, which I wasn’t a fan of but that’s what new games are for innovation and improvement.

Extremely spicy take. MW 2019 is over hated. Sure it has some weird choices (Piccadilly to be specific) but it brought me back to cod after years of not playing. The complaint of "its slow and campy" doesnt apply to me because its easy to counter the campers and it was a more cereberal take on cod. Can't just run like a crackhead and shoot anything that moves.

3:49 this is also something i been thinking about because yea there were some people who spent every dollar they had to get the best weapons but from a casual point of view having something to easily earn in game that can get u really cool stuff just feels so rewarding when u actually get somthing u wanted and now u never wanna stop using it but now u have spend $20 for a skin u will be board of in a week because nothing is unique about it and theres no rare ones besides like the nuke skin that is impossible to get(it was actually the thing that kept me playing cuz i just wanted to grind for more and more stuff it was way more fun)

I fear that the simcade FPS bubble has popped. Too much broken trust, too much exploitation, too many bad decisions, too many bad games. People seem to be just tired of the fps formula games use, the online service being terrible, the aggressive matchmaking systems, people are tired of it.

my thing with the loot boxes or a store argument is that when you pull a rare skin it means so so much more than everyone having the same ability to get it by just buying it. takes the “rarity” out of skins and doesn’t encourage you to play the game to get more boxes

Also, _Vanguard_ was a *great* multiplayer. The combat pacing or w/e was an incredible addition that I’d like to see back. Caldera made me quit Warzone & zombies were a joke at first, (Shi No Numa Reborn was excellent) but the game was a lot of fun in MP. I think Sledgehammer truly does try their best to fix whatever issues that they’ve made.

Black Ops 2 was the last good game that Treyarch made. Black Ops 2 was freaking amazing, as good as COD Ghost, Infinite Warfare and Advance Warfare. The best part of the Vanguard campaign was the Polina missions where you have to counter snipe the German snipers. All her missions were fire and wish the campaign was just about her and the Russians against the Germans.

here is a take i didn't put out earlier, cold war has a better overall zombies experience then bo2. bo2 had some of the best maps of all time in mob and origins, but it also has 2 of the 5 worst maps of all time in tranzit and die rise. while cold war didn't have the greatest maps of all time, each and every one of its maps are quality maps with 2 of them being great maps (die machine and mauer der toten) so in my eyes cold war is better because its consistently good while bo2 is all over the place

My hot take is that Bloc from COD4 was a great map and unique for being located in Pripyat, Ukraine This map should return to newer cod titles and it was hated for no reason at all also more COD4 maps (except shipment) should be added to other COD titles if possible or needed

Advanced Warfare is the best Call of Duty with the highest skill gap in the series. The movement put a much stronger emphasis on positioning, verticality, and accuracy. If you could master the movement, you could absolutely punish the other team. The ability to modify the streaks was a great innovation too.

With loot boxes vs store I feel like overwatch had same problem, the loot boxes were bad yes but they were cosmetics and then with overwatch 2 they did the store which has made getting new skins either pay or pay for season pass.. so I’d definitely go back to loot boxes that you can earn instead of most/all cosmetics in store.

Bo4 not one of the best but I think because they were rushed and never were able to get the campaign ( even though the scenes in the specialist was the cinematic for campaign.) was fun. Furthermore it was the first time trying out zombies on a streaming style gameplay rather than a downloaded version like we were used too it was really good and revolutionary. My example of it is Cold War was the same way just not as many crashes but there were some crashes tho still

Here's a hot take for ya: You guys remember the Chicom smg from Black Ops 2? Well I think it is actually one of the strongest guns in the game, but most of you didn't know how to use it to it's fullest. Most people put laser sight on it... WRONG! Try this... Put the red dot sight and the grip on the Chicom. The red dot fixes the awful iron sights and the grip makes it have nearly zero recoil at range. With this the Chicom becomes a fast killing mid-range monster... Your welcome :)

They wanted to bring in all the fortnite kids and immigrate them to warzone, it was all about money In fact, the mp was down badly until warzone and cod mobile came out, that's when the sales skyrocketed. mw2019's mp is the most baby proofed weak garbage I've ever seen, perfectly suited for sensitive kids

I can understand the perspective of bo3 over bo2, but for overall package I wouldn't agree, I could at best understand it for zombies only not the rest of the game. The monetization side of things feels, odd. Loot boxes sucked, there's no doubt about that. And then, regardless of them being theoretically earnable, merely having op weapons and variants hiding with the loot boxes only made them feel worse already as a monetization attempt towards the players. But then nowadays with the storefront, bundles, and battle pass, it feels like monetization is still horrible. The dlc maps are all free now and dlc weapons are much easier to obtain than with the loot boxes, yet as a result, we are stuck with most of the cool extra cosmetics you could get, now stuck behind a paywall only for prices that somehow suck yet also could be worse. And any free earning of cod points to get this cool fun stuff you want is severely limited no matter how much you play. Definitely agree on having bo1 over mw2 2009 myself. Like that og mw2, I get why it's loved and does deserve it overall. But bo1, easily, any day. Better campaign, better multiplayer maps, more interesting classes, I liked more guns from bo1, more fun game modes, plus zombies far over spec ops even if bo1 zombies hasn't aged perfectly. It is way too early to tell if bo6 could start a golden age 2.0. It looks good so far, but to so confidently guess the value of a bunch of games off the teasers and reveal of just one? Nah. It's just genuinely how bad things have felt. MW 2019 was overall neat could be worse, Cold War was good but you also had some people refuse to give it a fair chance. Then Vanguard sucked, MW2 2022 sucked. MW3 2023 good, but also one of if not the worst campaign ever and mixed feelings of it being a glorified dlc, and zombies lowkey abandoned by the devs it feels like. Warzone, like it or hate it, shook things up and made CoD more popular again.

Bo3 can’t be better than bo2 bc it has a no good campaign. The campaign makes the identity of the game and makes it individual, gives it a personality. It’s what made waw so dark, and what made bo2 so exciting
