7:10 my setup made it! Glad you approve of the majority of it. My desk is about 6 years old now, hence the terrible sag! Need to update to a proper butcher block that is longer so everything is centred as well! So many awesome setups in this.

For a quick disconnect cooling you might try dry break fittings. We use them in drag racing for things like transmission lines so we don’t have to drain fluid out of the lines and cooler when swapping transmissions. They are a bit pricey but would probably work for rapidly swapping a liquid cooler.

The guy who said he was on a commercial ship, I'm not surprised he has a desk. I was a Merchant Marine, and every ship I was on my room had a desk. I was just a lowly deck ape, but when you only have 26-36 people working on board, there's plenty of room for housing. I was also in the Navy, and those ships on the other hand... that's where they cram as many people into a space as possible. I had to share my berthing space with 200 roommates. I was on an aircraft carrier. I don't think there was enough space allowed for a desk until an officer hit lieutenant, and they still had to share the room with someone. Working on commercial ships is a dream compared to military vessels.

Jay mentioned quick release fittings which I had used in a build about 10 years ago using Lian Li extended case and had an additional external cooler that connected to tubing through a special slot PCI slot cover and I used Koolance quick release fittings. They are a twist-lock fitting similar to a BNC or cable connector and when you remove it both ends seal up automatically.

I've been following him for a few years! He even has a specific channel designed for RacingSimRig stuff! You'd really get along with him! He's Canadian, like me. I used it for several months as my office and had an AC unit in the window to keep me cool because my PC was also cooking me alive in there. My setup is now back in my garage and the shed is serving its original purpose... A chicken coop XD. I think it would be really cool and unique for you to build a cooling set up externally. Koolance makes some really interesting coolers, from an "almost" AIO that has pump, fans, rad, and controls that you mount externally, to even sub ambient coolers. Supposedly the "AIO" has a cooling capacity of 900w with a 25c delta to ambient.
