IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS IN PARAGRAPHS BELOW: The thing I learned filming this is that I smile when I'm upset so like... that's weird and misleading haha. Thanks for joining me in this very honest conversation. I really hit a wall and just point-blank said some things unfiltered. Maybe it's growth, maybe it's exhaustion... who knows. BUT SOMETHING HAPPY: Thank you Skillshare for sponsoring this video! For a limited time, use the link in my description to get a free trial of Skillshare Premium Membership: The first 1000 people to use the link will get a free trial of Skillshare Premium Membership: skl.sh/micheljanse10201 PS, I want to clarify that when discussing politics in this video, I am speaking about identifying with a political PARTY & their ideals, not a candidate. I'd also like to say that I have taken the political compass test multiple times since the filming of this video, and left versus right is still not conclusive. It will swing a bit side to side depending on how I interpret the questions, I believe. However, every time I score between -3.5 to -6 down (Libertarian), which is interesting. I really feel vulnerable sharing this and honestly I wish I could learn more in peace instead of publicly, just as you have the right to. But as I said, since it was the most "liked" comment, me not addressing it in this video WOULD be a statement of its own, unfortunately. ALSO: Just like the last video, I am also not referencing the social injustices of this World when discussing politics. I feel like that should not be a political issue and I CLEARLY know where I stand. Black Lives Matter. I am firm on that belief. blacklivesmatter.com/resources/

Hi there Michel, I don't usually comment on KZbin but, I felt the need to on this one. You are an amazing woman with a big heart and a lot to offer the world. Being someone who wants to make people happy is a beautiful trait. It is also not a trait that people trust as authentic. What matters is that you are authentically yourself. If you care than that needs to be celebrated and nurtured. God created us all so uniquely and that is a gift. The field you are in both acting and as a KZbinr/influencer is about hoping people like you. The ones that don't "get" you is fine, it isn't up to you to change their mind. Let them move on. There are so many people out there that just want to start something or spread hate. We need to move on from them. Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents! Hugs to you! 💜🙏👍😘

I also took a test in college and came as libertarian. During elections I vote more with the candidates so the last few times have been democrat but the first year I voted, I voted republican. Luckily where I live libertarian is a valid option in local elections (I’m in a conservative area of Texas that is now “purple”). When I was your age I was very much on the fence and could not pick a side and my dad told me it was okay, I did not need to pick a party just to please my sister and mom. I’m more democrat now but prior to this last four years I was still very on the fence.

Hey!!! I watch your videos and I honestly am unbothered about the political side you choose. The fact is people get to choose and THAT is how it is supposed to be. Politics can be very decisive even in families and people blindly follow one party or the next but the issues are what matter! All that said to say, it's totally okay to ask for space and respect on your boundaries! Thanks for sharing anyway!

From an older woman to a very young woman... I think you are wise beyond your years. My impression is that you are a strong, kind, caring woman. Never feel guilty for who you are...or your beliefs. As you get older you will become more comfortable & confident. You are far too young to have so much guilt. I literally tried to count the number of times you said guilt or guilty & gave up. BTW we don’t discuss politics in my family...you don’t need to discuss it on KZbin!

1) guilt is a waste of energy and useless emotion. If you truly did something wrong, you will feel appropriately badly about it. 2) Being fortunate enough to not have experienced major loss or struggle does not make you a bad person (if you are lucky, your long life will certainly have its share of challenges). 3) You don’t owe anyone your political views. I applaud you for understanding we all won’t agree, but can still get along and take care of each other.

I am agnostic and have NEVER got the feeling that you were a fair weather Christian or an exclusive one. You seem to absolutely fit the definition of a Christian who is confident in their faith and understands your faith journey is not your neighbors. Its refreshing😊

I just want you to know you are one of my favorite you tubers and you inspire me in so many ways. In a lot of ways we have similar qualities, and I love seeing that other people have the same feelings in certain situations. I am the same way a people pleaser always doing for others, because like you said I want to be a good person in life. It is 100% draining. I just hope you know there’s so many of us in the KZbin world watching your video that relate to you. I honestly wish I was more like you in a lot of ways. UGH nothing irritates me more than when people put others in a “box” when it comes to politics. Even if someone is conservative doesn’t mean they like our president. Just because someone is Christian doesn’t mean they are super conservative. It’s so closed minded and honestly I felt like a lot of these assumptions were an excuse to attack you. Sweet Michel, I'm in my sixties and new to watching KZbin, and while I enjoy getting to know you and others, I'm bothered that Influencers do not seem to know when to draw the line on privacy. It's no one's business what your political beliefs are, just as certain information between you and Brook is meant to be sacred and only for the two of you. There is no way to ever please everyone in this life; I learned this at a young age working retail! When you deal with the public, which is what you do, you will have every personality, healthy or not, and every mood coming at you. I know you are aware of this, and you know Who can help you through. So my advice is this: since God gave you this platform, seek Him to help you handle it. Much love back to you.

I am very saddened that people have not respected your boundaries when it comes to you figuring out your politics. I think you have addressed this is a reasonable way and it is your right as a human being to figure out your beliefs whether its religion or politics. Otherwise, I wish you wouldn't feel guilty about your finances. I actually love your "young adult completely honest vides" such as going to the obgyn for the first time, or what it takes to be self employed. I would really love to see you explain how you budget, you discuss often that you have a very good grasp of personal finance, even if you use fake numbers I think it would be interesting and informative to do an educational video in a casual way. Like this is how you set your bills up, this is the percentage you use for food, this is the percentage each you and brook bring into your financial situation, do you use spreadsheets or quicken or just plain old pen and paper. I think a lot of young adults struggle with budgeting because no one has ever taught them, and as someone who has their own business I just think you could offer a really fun and interesting perspective. Anyways, since quarantine has started I am addicted to your videos, no matter if you are just sitting in front of the screen talking and drinking matcha or unboxing some fun new subscription.

I know this video was really tough for you to make, but I'm glad you did. I hate to admit it, but like a few of the people who messaged you, I too had a little underlying worry that as much as I loved your videos, if we met in real life, you wouldn't like me bc of my differing beliefs (I'm a pretty devout Muslim). I think I only felt this way bc that has happened to me in the past, and it's so stupid bc when we boil it down, our core beliefs are very similar. Nonetheless, I totally believe you and felt the conviction with which you said you love and respect everyone, even if they have differing beliefs. Although I would have continued watching your videos regardless, its nice to do that now without that lingering sense of guilt/worry and I love you even more for it! Thank you :)

Hi Sarah, I do have to say that while you probably meant for your comment to console Michel, it somehow stuck out to me. I get where you're coming from. However, I did not have a picture perfect upbringing although I grew up in a Christian home. And comments like yours make me feel like people such as me didn't get to live a life intended by God. I believe, that God has a plan for each an every one of us and we each face different challenges. The effects of my childhood make me into the person, the Jesus loving, God affirming person I am today. I hope this doesn't come across rude, I just wanted to point this out. 💛

Jule Kocher Hey! It was said to give her peace about it! Idk how the person who said that to her came off, so I want to affirm that Gods original design for family was to not be broken. We obviously live in a broken world which means there are broken families. I too, had a really hard childhood and it shaped me to have a different viewpoint on life. He new my future before I did, but we have to recognize those who had a beautiful childhood and not allow them to feel ashamed. The best way I can describe what I’m trying to say is this: when God created the world He intended it to be whole. Therefore when I see a broken world, I take it back to the Garden. Where he wanted to be whole with us. I use to be very insecure about my childhood because I was the odd ball out when having a very broken family. People like you and I have to come to terms and see that we don’t choose our childhoods. We have a way to seek out Gods original design. It might be harder, but it’s worth the freedom♥️Which is why I’m happy that Michel has been blessed! Hope this explains my meaning more!

Something I've always noticed and assumed from your videos is that you are wise beyond your years! I'm 26 and we share a few similarities (recently married, not starting a family yet, Christian, Enneagram 3, etc.) but when you speak about finances, lessons learned, and other vulnerable topics you speak with such a great balance of grace and authority, wisdom and meekness. It's a refreshing balance to see someone in their 20's that "has it together" but is also "figuring it out" at the same time. I want to encourage you to give yourself the same acceptance and grace you freely share with others.

Oh my sweet, sweet girl. You are such an inspiration to so many people - even people like me (a 51 year old dual citizen of New Zealand and Austria.) I worry about you, though. Being such a people pleaser and taking things so much to heart is not good for you physically, mentally or emotionally. Maybe go and see a counsellor (as opposed to a psychologist.) I have two children. My daughter is the same age as you and has struggled with anorexia since she was 16. She's doing really well, now, but she has decided to go and see a counsellor. I think she is worn out from seeing psychologists/therapists. A counsellor is a bit more like a life coach and has a lot more tools in their bag to help you through the guilt you feel. I don't think you should feel guilty. The most important thing is just keep being you. Personally, I don't care what your political beliefs are and I think it is incredibly arrogant of people to expect you to talk about politics. As a reasonably new voter, I think the best way to make a decision on who to vote for is to decide on the issues you feel are most important to you as you are now and learn everything there is to learn about the policies on those issues. Some of my closest friends have completely opposing political views to me and I really don't care. Sometimes it's just healthy not to talk about that kind of stuff. In fact, when I was young, it was considered rude to talk about money, religion or politics to other people. Just keep being the person you are. I think you are absolutely gorgeous. One suggestion, though. Stay away from the assumptions videos for a while. People are not going to change their assumptions and I think it's important for you. Oh, and no waist trainers! Take care. Lots of love from an old Kiwi mum.

I started watching you right before I started my first job as a new teacher and I can truly say that you have been such a light! I’ve been really stressed with my job and whenever I am able to take a break, I turn on one of your videos and I can literally feel light shining through you. I can tell just from watching your videos that you’re such a genuine person who is always trying to better themselves. That’s all you can really ask from a person. Thank you for creating content that brings people like me joy. My pastor Rick Warren one time said something that has always stuck with me - “If you were a peach, you could be the most beautiful, ripest peach in the world but there is always going to be somebody who doesn’t like peaches.” It’s something I have to remind myself of too. I tend to let that one negative student/parent comment get to me even though I get more positive than negative comments. I just have to remind myself that I can’t please everyone and I can only be my best version of myself and try to keep bettering myself.

I agree we all should be able to educate ourselves at our own speed and keep who we’re voting for private, especially on a fun, positive lifestyle KZbin channel 💗 (I am curious to go take my political compass test now though, thanks for the tip!)

I have never been prouder to be your internet friend. ❤❤❤ YES. Love God. Love others. Everything else is extra. YES. Keep showing up as your fullest self. We need you. And it gives the rest of us permission to show up with our hearts extended in our hands. YES. Boundaries are good. You don't owe us things that bring you pain and you aren't called to share. To answer your question: I haven't studied psychology. I'm actually a college-drop-out. (who liked your podcast episode about college BTW 😄) I started learning about the enneagram a couple of years ago and just pulled the trigger this month on getting my coaching certification. I literally spent the last few days doing hours of study while my brain replayed the track "You probably aren't good at this. No one wants you to do this. You are going to embarrass yourself. What makes you think you know people? Why do you think YOU could help people when you're so clearly unqualified?..." - on a loop. You and Brook share connections to my enneagram type that make you guys feel like home to me, each in a different way, and it was affirming to know my assumptions weren't too far off base. Thank you for stumbling through my poor typing. Much love. ❤

As a chronic people pleaser myself, I've heard once something that helped me change my perspective about it and I feel like I should tell you the same thing: the fact that you care so much about being a good person already makes you a much better person than most, because most people just don't care about being good or improving themselves everyday. You are truly one of the most (if not the most) caring, charismatic and adorable youtubers I watch and I honestly believe the pressure you put on yourself is not a bad thing, because it's probably why you are the way you are. ❤️

I relate to you more than you know. Thank you for being vulnerable. I have struggled with being a people pleaser my entire life and it is exhausting. I have OCD and when I was a teenager I struggled with external habits that align with OCD and now as a grownup i have internalized it all into the habit of pleasing everyone. I SO appreciate you for being brave and admitting that you wish you didn’t care so much. I envy those that seem to just let things roll off their shoulders. I have discovered that making a conscious effort to allow myself a small amount of time to obsess over things and then LETTING IT GO is most helpful. Practice, practice, practice. You’ll get there, my friend. In the meantime- keep doing the right things, at the right times, for the right reasons and know that you could be the sweetest peach and some people simply don’t like peaches. Let that go. It is liberating.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, political, religious, or otherwise. I hope I never turn into a person consumed with hatred of anyone based on their beliefs. What an awful world that would be for me. If you're my friend then you're my friend and I love you...plain and simple. That doesn't mean we don't have boundaries. Boundaries are healthy and necessary. Keep and maintain yours...and choose from now on only to respond to things that fit within those boundaries. You've stepped outside them enough to satisfy other's curiosity. I love your videos and I'm so happy I found you so I can watch and enjoy them all!!! ❤️❤️

I love the way you live your faith. When I became a Christian a few years ago, many of my Christian brothers and sisters have told me ideally others should know we're Christian because we show the love of God through our lives and actions, not our words, preaching or the symbols we might wear. To me you honestly are a near perfect example of this. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

I think there are a lot of people like you - who were raised in "traditional" families with "traditional" values (read: white, christian, conservative) who are trying to come to terms with the values they were raised with, their faith, etc and trying to reconcile those things with the modern republican party (Trump, MAGA, affiliation with the alt right etc). In our political system that is so divided between just two parties, it is genuinely difficult to find yourself in the middle, or sharing some opinions with one party and some with the other. I commend you for your honesty Michel, and even more so for actually putting the work in to do your research, learn, and be thoughtful

Hi Michel, thank you so much for being so open, honest, and raw in this video. I really want to give you a huge warm hug. I think you handled this video very well. I love that you have boundaries and stick to them no matter what. Keep having those boundaries! Boundaries are a VERY healthy and neccesary part of being a human, and is very critical if you are an influencer. I don't want you to get swept away with your audience's wants and desires to the point in which you get lost. You be you hon!! I think that you are one of the most healthiest (mentally/emotionally) that I have seen on KZbin so far. It's truly a breath of fresh air! With that said, even the healthiest person can benefit from seeking help. There tends to be a lot of shame and guilt attached to seeking help, I don't want you to feel that way. I know I'm not in control of how you feel, but I did want to say that. I also want to say that if you chose to seek help, I don't want you to feel obligated to share that information with the world, or anyone really.... well, maybe your SO... Right now is kind of a dark time due to COVID and so many other things, I don't want your shine/brightness to dim, but I also don't want you to feel the need to fake being shinny (not that you would). Sorry, I know I'm having issues saying what I want to say, the cliche way of saying it is "it's okay to seek help." I also don't want you to feel that I'm telling you that you need to seek help... As you can tell, I care a little bit too much on what people think also, especially when it comes to certain sensitive subjects. Lol. I hope you understood what I was trying to say. Without you being in front of me, it's hard to effectively communicate some things sometimes. (Also, apologies for any mispelled words). As far as not being political or showing any political anything on here, I totally understand. Not only is the climate very intense right now. I can also relate to how disorientating it is right now. I would say more, but if you responded it would be a statement in itself, and I don't want you to feel that you can't comment on your own video comments... I totally respect you and the views that you presented in this video. Thank you again!!! With love, Phoenix Mermaid

Michel I am right there with you. No one should push you to talk about your political views. It is none of anyones business. I was taught as a child that you just don’t ask people who they vote for. I don’t know if it’s law or how that came about but I know it’s looked down upon to ask people who they vote for. If it’s wrong to ask people who they vote for it’s wrong to ask what political views they have. If you don’t wanna talk about it don’t this is your channel and you should do what you wanna do. I respect so much that you are trying to learn as much as you can before you decide. I am in the same position. I believe both sides have good points. I just think that both sides are a little too radical and maybe should come together and figure out the common ground. That’s not likely to happen anytime soon unfortunately. So just keep doing what you’re doing and do as much research as you can. Don’t listen to anybody else just learn as much as you can about each side and make your own decision. If people don’t like it they can lump it.

Totally get your point about how divisive politics are these days. I support you not wanting to get too in-depth so I totally get if you don't want to respond. This comes from a place of love. I work in politics in DC and I am very liberal. I have seen how frequently people become "keyboard warriors" and they end up polarizing people even more. But to be real, it is fair to disagree with friend's different political opinions if they are for example: should public transportation get more funding from the cities budget or should we be creating more green jobs. We should not be entertaining "friends" who cannot agree if people of different colors, ethnicities, etc be treated differently, or if they don't understand that everyone deserves basic living rights like health care. Thank you for being so honest! It's so important - I must say that some things are too important to stay silent about. And you CAN use your voice and your privilege (like you mentioned in this video) to spread awareness around these issues without bringing politics into it. Some issues like racism, sexism, etc should not be politicized - they are just basic human rights

I feel for you girl! No one should ever feel that they owe anyone an explanation. You’re young! I’m young! I’d assume most of your viewers are in a similar age group and were all just figuring everything out. I respect you so much for taking a back seat and trying to find what you believe. So much miss information is spread in the world and it is amazing that you’re self aware enough to say “hey. I’m going to take a back seat while I learn and grow and educate myself”. Not everyone has the maturity to do that! I also totally agree that not everyone should have the same opinions as their friends. People should be able to put differences aside and be loving to each other. I’m agnostic and have SO many Christian friends, atheist friends, Buddhist friends, etc. not all my friends share my political beliefs, nor should they! We can’t grow and learn from each other if we only surround ourselves with people who think like us. I love your videos and hope you never filter yourself! I hope you know that you definitely come off as a genuine and kind person (I’ve always gotten the vibe that like if we were in a group and someone got interrupted, you’d make eye contact to show that you were still listening 😂) and people who take the time to comment hateful things on a KZbin video have a lot of internal turmoil and it most likely has nothing to do with you. As a parent having a 22 year old daughter and a ten-year-old son my son being high functioning autistic like myself, I know you don't have to have children unless you personally choose to. You can adopt. You can just be happy with a dog. I had zero connection with my daughter throughout her life. I was always wondering why I couldn't comprehend her, her needs/wants, and has always felt bad that she rather love anyone but me. It was never about myself and we are trying from different states. When it came to my son it just felt like he was my twin, in the very beginning. He's a little different, like me. As a single parent my son and I have had our ups and downs for a long time. But to be able to understand him from his mind perspective has been amazing because there's a lot of parents of autistic children and they have no idea what they're thinking and have no idea how they feel. Not a lot of people understand from that perspective. I handle it and proud of him when he chooses to progress. A lot of people miss their Independence. I hope you and your husband in the future sit down and think about it and decide what you guys need to be happy with. It's not selfish. As an individual you and your husband have that personal choice; you don't have to unless you really want to.

You should never feel guilty for being white. That is beyond your control and your incredibly lucky to have parents can you stay together and created a great financial stability for their family and pass that on to you girls. This it today I’m trying to put white guilt on white people it’s ridiculous. I do not feel guilty for being white and my husband and I have built our family from nothing when we got together almost every day on the calendar was a bill to pay. And now we were almost debit free. Like Paying off our house debit free, no Credit cards. It’s all up to the individual to decide to better them selves. You can do better you just have to have determination. We we all just are humans trying to make it through this journey so we all just need to love one another.

Please don't let the internet push you around on things like that. Which brings me to my second point. I love that you mentioned seeking professional guidance in navigating some issues. I used to think you were so different from me, and I’ve enjoyed having a window into a different world. But I learned in this video that you were a theater kid and so was I! I can see it now and it makes sense since you’re an actor! I just never caught that fact until this video and it was cool to find a similarity. Just shows that we are all connected in some way in this world. Love your vlogs! Don’t give rude comments free real estate in your head. You’re being your best self, that’s all you can do and it doesn’t have to be right for everyone. In fact, it would be quite terrible/boring to be someone that is palatable to all.

Never feel bad about who you are. Obviously I don't know you personally, and can only speak to how you are on your videos (which seems to be a pretty accurate representation of your true self since you're so transparent and honest on this chanel) But you are such a kind and beautiful person, and the very fact that you do your very best to use your privilege to help others as much as possible says so much about you. If more of the privileged people in the world were like you, we would live in a much better world. I also completely understand how stressed you get with being a people pleaser. I'm the exact same way and have struggled with anxiety and even depression because I put myself under pressure to make everybody around me happy. I'm not on a social media platform so it's just people close to me that I feel pressure to please. And I put myself through so much, I can't even imagine going through what you go through, having so many people on a social media platform that you feel pressured to please. Just know that you have so many followers who love you and look forward to seeing you in every single video. You're a genuinely great person and nothing can change that. I really hope you read this and know that even though I could never understand the level of pressure you feel, I truly hope and pray that you are able to feel relief in knowing that so many people see you as the good person you need so badly to be, and that you are impacting so many lives in a positive way. I love you!

I think the reason people are pressuring you to pick a side right now, in terms of politics, is because this is not a normal election year. This choice will LITERALLY make or break it for one side or the other. As someone who is also religious, I have, in the past, leaned conservative. However, this time, it's not left vs right... it's Trump vs not-Trump. That's the decision that needs to be made. And not to speak on behalf of Jesus (A.S.), but I don't think He is probably such a big fan of Trump 😒 just saying.

This was by far my favorite video of yours because of how honest and vulnerable you were. I feel so close to you and we don’t know each other! I could tell you meant everything you said about Christianity and loving others. I was raised Christian but left the church when I was a teenager from the hypocrisy I kept seeing. I do tend to have that thought that “Christian’s are close-minded and hateful” but have to remind myself that’s not true, some are for sure, but you can’t judge an entire group of people for the actions of a few. You really reinforced that for me today and I thank you for it.

I rarely comment on videos, but you deserve to hear how absolutely proud I am of you for this. I am so privileged to have worked with you and known you during those cringe-y middle school years (and let's face it--the confidence you showed while wearing those jean leg warmers is UNMATCHED)! You inspire me everyday to be the best version of myself--the best actor, the best (although imperfect) Christian, and the best human possible. You've got a fan and a friend in me, Michel!

Hi Michel, taking a break from gardening to post a comment. I have a friend from church who is fairly new and is struggling with people pleasing. I think the most important part for me working through being a people pleaser and putting that behind me is realizing that Christ has already accepted you for who you are, so there is no need to please man, for the purpose of earning acceptance or trying to find value and fulfillment by being seen as good according to the world's standards. "In God I trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Psalm 56:11. We are in the world, but we are not of it, and if we live life fueled by gratitude to God, that which does not matter will no longer burden us unnecessarily. "Is your mind set on things that are above, or are you still keeping yourself entrenched in the very things Jesus rescued you from?" ~John Strange. I sincerely hope you do not take offense to this comment. I love you and your channel and I pray that the Lord will unburden you from these burdens that may weigh you down unnecessarily, so you can continue to live life unhindered as one of God's redeemed. Much love and hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗

It is very natural that we tend to focus more on the negative feedbacks we get than the positive ones, and try our best to make everyone happy, but the truth is, it is kinda impossible to be liked by every single person in the planet (there are people who just tend to hate things for no reason). It is 100% OK to feel stressed to not be liked by the others, and I don't think forcing yourself to not care will make you genuinely feel better, so I guess at least stop beating yourself up for feeling the way you feel, you have 100% right to feel whatever ways you want and you don't need people's approval for feeling the way you are feeling right now. Anyways, the ones who love and appreciate you will always support you, thanks for bring us positive energy via your videos! Love you,Michel

You are SO sweet, I love your videos and you can just tell how genuine you are. But can you please teach me how to not experience anger? please and thank you

You have nothing to feel guilty about. Dont feel like because you’re smart, & make good decisions that that makes you have something to feel guilty about. I think the people that say that are jealous & want to bring people down to their level. U do u & everyone else should mind their own business

I completely get the whole people pleasing thing and all the stress and anxiety that goes along with it, I have been there and I found I would just hold it all in until I would break and it was not healthy. Once I learned that no matter what you do there are certain people you’ll never please, it’s ok to say no to people, and what people think really doesn’t matter in the long run my life became a lot more enjoyable. It’s ok to take time for you, it’s important really. You are a wonderful and beautiful person and I appreciate your reviews 😃❤️

Don't feel guilty because your family chose well, made good decision. People just want to blame others for their bad decisions

I have agreed for a long time that KZbin creators should not feel obligated to speak about certain things if they don’t want to for whatever reason and that it should be more respected. That there isn’t something that you or any other KZbinrs owes to their audience. KZbin creators need space, and their boundaries should be respected. Just because you’re on the internet doesn’t mean others should think and act as if you owe them something. I can understand the curiosity to want to know about the people you watch online but really it should be more respected to whatever the creator wants to share or not share. I myself am not religious and so many other people try and push their views on to me and Michel I can honestly say you don’t do that. You try hard to make this platform a safe and fun space and it shows. I feel excited and happy to hear from you in your comments and through the videos you create. I feel saddened about your inner struggles and fears that we’re mentioned in this video and I wish it wasn’t like that. ❤️

You could totally hear the pain in your voice when speaking about this topic. . I have watched dozens and dozens of your videos and I've never ever felt the need to judge you. You share so much with us that you don't have to. I'm sorry for those people making you doubt your abilities. Hugs

I hate people for making you feel guilty about a having a good childhood. And people saying you'll have troubles later in life is not okay either. Having no problems isn't bad or make someone fake.

Wow...this video is everything. It’s raw it’s real it’s emotional. For the last 36 minutes I felt totally enthralled in your conversation. I wanted to say I really appreciate what you said about being a Christian and loving everyone and wanting to make it a safe enjoyable place for everyone . As someone who grew up in an Ultra conservative cult like church and is an atheist now I stay far away from very religious atmospheres because they trigger some emotional baggage I have. However on your channel your values and beliefs are evident while being free from the “Pharisees” attitude. I respect who you are even more now after hearing you share your thoughts on love and acceptance of others.

Michel- as someone who is generally of the belief that constantly pedaling political neutrality can be a damaging and very privileged position, you handled that last question BEAUTIFULLY. Politics are deeply important for vulnerable populations, but it’s also valid to want to make this a safe space for everyone. Safe spaces can’t just be for those on the far end of the left- as someone who falls really far on the left that’s sortof hard to admit but I think it’s true. Also your perspective on Christianity has been a motivating factor in me picking up a Bible at the bookstore one night after my night shift earlier this year and reading it every single day since- I come from a non religious background so that’s big! If your people pleasing tendencies are causing you hurt please feel free to set up boundaries but also know that your drive to make everyone feel safe and loved SHOWS and you’ve provided us with a beautiful and loving space on the internet and that’s freaking rare. Love you ❤️
