Welcome to the World of BABYMETAL.

Yup, same night as the other video. It was the singer's 16th birthday celebration (she was born in 97). There's one more iconic performance from the same show called 'BABYMETAL DEATH'. Be sure to check that one out sometime too, it's interesting 😈

Headbanger is a quintessential BABYMETAL performance, that's why it gets hyped up. You see/hear a bit of everything that makes them great, Su's vocals, the super high energy choreo from Moa & Yui, crowd interaction/control and the amazing Kami Band. Headbanger is also one of the songs that is "most BABYMETAL" when it comes to "structure" (for a lack of a better word), at least when talking about the first two albums. It has quieter parts, heavy parts, a lot of transitions, a crowd interaction part, super high energy throughout and the lyrics are relatable to the three members, It's about a 15-year old girl going to her first concert. You already heard another song out of the same category, Megitsune (Meh-gii-tsu-neh). Maybe you should do Ijime Dame Zettai (Ee-dshee-meh, dah-meh, zettai - sry, I'm very bad at this phonetic language stuff in English) from Sonisphere Festival UK 2014 next, it's another one that fits perfectly into the category and this was the last song of their third ever performance in the west and first one in front of a bigger audience. Ijime Dame Zettai means "No more Bullying, forever", or literally "Bullying, no good, absolutely". kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c Your "this looks like a lot of people" at the beginning is something I hear quite often when people watch this video. But while it was their biggest concert up to this date, they performed "only" in front of about 7500 people here. But the Japanese audiences always make sure it looks and sounds like they're three times as much.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' is a classic BABYMETAL song. Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the studio version was recorded. It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than attending concerts. : ) This was one of their earliest hits, but they didn't play it at all in 2018. I'm really glad it was back on the setlist for 2019 and 2020. It was great to finally hear it live last year on the US tour. The Kami Band members for this concert ('Legend 1997') were Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Leda Cygnus on guitars. BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

Definitely check out “BABYMETAL Death” from the same Legend 1997 show, that is an experience to say the least. Also, the “Road to Resistance” live performance is a must watch. If you want one of their more recent songs, I’d say check out “PA PA YA” or “BxMxC” probably. None of their songs are really same so you’re never sure what you’re gonna get.

Great reaction. You have a lot more to experience with BM, both from the earlier songs (like this) and from after Yuimetal left the band. Try Oh Majinai and BxMxC if you want to see their latest perfomences. I strongly recommend a reaction to "An Unhelpfull Guide to Babymetal". It's 40 minutes long but as a bonus for You, you will see wich pokemon Yuimetal looks like and it's really fun... 😊🦊🤘❤ Greetings from Sweden! 🇸🇪

Oh! First reactors that saw Pikachu!! And you left the video until the very end also... Subscribed only for that! 😆 More seriously, great reaction. I hope to see more Babymetal ones. 👍🏻

Backing band: "Kami Band" check out, Takayoshi Ohmura, (guitar) BOH (bass) , Yuya Maeta (drums) or Hideki Ayoama (drummer) Mikio Fujkoka (guitar) (RIP), They are some of the best musicians in Japan. There are rotating band members depending on who's available.

Great reaction. You guys synchronized your head bobbing. I think you are both ready for Death legend 1997 live.
@0okamino3 жыл бұрын
Nice! And you are correct about it being the same show. If you see that statue in the background, it's LEGEND 1997 (12-21-2013, the day after Su's 16th birthday) at Makuhari Hall. It was also the debut of _Gimme Chocolate,_ which is one of only three (of 13) tracks on the first album that hadn't already been released as a single (or a b-side track of those singles) before the album. _Headbanger!_ is the third original song they released (2012) on a single. I highly recommend also watching the official music video for it if you haven't yet. :) Rather than meh gee tsu nee, it's meh gee tsu neh. Japanese vowel sounds are always consistent. Basic pronunciation is much easier than a lot of people seem to expect. a = ah i = i as in sing u = u as in Su ;) e = eh as in bet o = oh Stick with that, and you're all good.

Amazing reaction! If you are very lucky, you may be able to throw your pokéball and capture the legendary Su-metal to perform only for you. But to get that chance, you need to react to more Babymetal!

Good reaction - and you were right, this was near the end of the concert - they'd been going at it with this same level of energy for a long time by here and there were just two more songs after this one. No wonder they were sweating. Did you have any thoughts on Su's live vocals? This was the first time you've heard her singing live as the previous ones you reacted to were the studio audio versions.
@emmywillson3 жыл бұрын
To be fair I didnt notice any difference, she's got a really clean voice!
@Grington3003 жыл бұрын
@@emmywillson Fair enough - and very true. I guess hearing the studio version and then the live version of the same song is where it is more noticeable that her voice is so much better live without the over-processing they do to her in the studio.
@emmywillson3 жыл бұрын
I've got to say though I'm more of a 'raw vocals' kinda gal. I always find myself enjoying live versions/acoustic versions of songs from all genres. Just prefer a not so seamless performance.. not sure why 😅

No:1 - Great job spotting Pikachu in the crowd! Headbanger is about a 15 years old girl going to her first Metal concert. Yui Metal (La Cigale, Paris July 1) and Moa Metal (Live Music Hall, Cologne July 3) sang this song for their 15th birthday during World Tour 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXKydKynbtCngK8 (Clip) Su Metal changed the lyrics from 15 to 20 for her 20th birthday (See Jun 28 live broadcast). Moa Metal again sang this for her 20th birthday at her hometown of Nagoya. BABYMETAL ARISES - BEYOND THE MOON LEGEND M streamable.com/a8r1e9 From Rick Wagner: There's no footage, but both Yui and Moa took the lead on 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!' a second time in Japan to celebrate their 15th birthdays. Yui at APOCRYPHA - Y on July 21st, 2014, and Moa at APOCRYPHA - M later that same day. imgur.com/a/NOoZ9RL Commentary from BabyMetal for this song original MVs: Headbanger kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpundISimpKMecU (Original MV: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHrdg5J5obl4brs) This is the MV where it shows where is neck brace (corset) come from in their lore. A tribute to Yoshiki of X-Japan where he is wears a corset after too much headbanging. pbs.twimg.com/media/CaJJbfyUsAAZ3lP.jpg Directed by Hidenobu Tanabe (田辺秀伸), who would be named Best Director of that year (2012) at the Space Shower Music Video Awards. It narrated a story of a 15-year-old girl who found a legendary neck corset in a mysterious box that fell upon her from above. According to Yui Metal, the members of the band wore their heaviest makeup for the "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" music video, while Moa Metal felt the fake eyelashes used were pulling down on her eyelids.
