The Kami band is so bloody badass!!! And dammit isnt Su just awesome? If you watch her face, it shows exactly the emotions her voice expresses. Not many singers have that. She just goes under your skin.

Some other things you might not notice first time watching it: 1:06 I like how the audience sings/yells with Yuimetal and Moametal. 2:12 You can see the stage is still wet. Su-metal has less profile on her shoes and she is slipping. 2:18 you might be able to see it in her expression there too. 5:40 Su-metal yells: everybody jump ! And then she starts jumping too. Whiling singing, but her voice does not waiver 5:52 Babymetal live is when the real magic happens. :-) I think at this festival their were some 90 000 people in the audience.

Their set was delayed by the rain for about 40 minutes - there is a photo of their producer Kobametal sweeping water off the stage. While they were playing the rain was described as 'Biblical' - and still the crowd stayed on. There was an interview with the members of Korn shortly after this looking very wet - they'd been out watching BABYMETAL in the rain too. Live BABYMETAL is always best, the videos are good but you can't beat the real thing with the Kami Band and Su's natural voice not being stifled by studio effects and being over compressed etc.

We are lucky in the UK because: 1) we have a lot of 3 day festivals, including the biggest, Glastonbury (200,000+), 2) we are a small island so it's easy to travel to any of them and 3) we've had a couple of iconic Babymetal performances, including this and the awesome Ijime, Dame, Zettai at Sonisphere. The set of 8 songs they did at Glastonbury last June is on YT and worth a watch just to see what the band looks like now, even though the sound is far from perfect and the crowd were a mixed bunch as is the way at Glasto due to the massively eclectic mix of music genres that are played there. This performance is a classic, though and Su really hits that last, long note at the end of the song - feel the power! Keep on reacting, man, we're all loving watching your journey into the Babymetal universe! 2:52 - The smile when you realise that "I am such a Babymetal fan I am going to have their logo inscribed on my body!" is classic. 3:55 - I have 2 stents in my 58 year old heart and hope they keep my heart beating when I get to see them live in 29 days but, if it is all too much, I at least hope it keeps pumping until the concert is over so I can die happy! 4:19 - Love that Su is so real and loves her fans so much that when she says the line that many bands say to their fans ("Let me hear your voice"), she actually takes her ear-piece out to listen, considerate goddess that she is!

Download is a festival rather than a stadium - it's actually held at a motor racing circuit at Donington Park and used to be called Monsters Of Rock in the previous century. Also, it didn't ever really stop raining in 2016. Haven't seen you react to "Meta Taro" yet - that's a great tune.

Feel so sad that you notice them only now. I became a BABYMETAL fan in 2017 and was on their Tokyo show in November, but it still very late. Now the band feels completely different and they'll never sing Onedari Daisakusen or Sis.Anger live. I dream about Yui's return so hard.
