"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Good reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘 You may want to watch the live video from Fox_Fest next. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all fools - the fools who watch and the fools who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all fools why just watch, we may as well all dance. This is what Tom Morello said about this song: "I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I’ve been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of METALI!! I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!"

Oh definitely you could feel that Festive (Matsuri) energy in the song and Tom Morello for sure rocked the performance 🤟🏻. We gonna check the live performance of this too since u said that it's wild, too excited to check that out as well 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

Thank you, glad you liked it. About the Shamisen, actually i studied Japanese ,so while studying and experiencing japanese culture i got to know more about things related to music and other fields as well🙂. And yeah we'll continue our journey with Babymetal 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻.

The song title ‘メタり’ is made up of three Japanese characters, and the first two ‘メタ’ are in Katakana and the last ‘り’ is in Hiragana. When writing the English word ‘metal’ in Japanese, katakana is used normaly, but in this case it is a play on words, synthesised with the ‘り’ in ‘まつ"り" ’ (festivals). In Japanese Roma-ji writing, ‘り’ is written as ‘ri’, but the pronunciation is actually almost the same as the English ‘L’. So if it was to write the this song title in English, I personally think that ‘Metali’ would be fine, but apparently this might be the cause of Japanese people's poor command of English, of inability to distinguish between ‘R’ and ‘L’. Well, it's a festival song, so what does it matter? It is just that 'the dancers are fools, the watchers are fools. Both are fools alike so, why not dance?', haha! (it is a famous phrase from 'Awa-odori dancing', famous summer festival in Japan) Yes, it might have something in common with AG. But it's a long story, so I'll stop. Thank you from Japan!
