This is an example of a perfect love song, the subtle music notes not overshadowing the singer, the singer perfectly executing the notes and pitches, and the lyrics just taking you away to a musical heaven. Absolute perfection. They don't make them like they used to. You said it correctly when you said you can feel it in your body, cos i did too.

As a 12yr old that had to go and see a Star is Born movie with my older sister because it was R rated. I never had to sit and watch and hear a woman sing the way she did throughout. She became my first crush.

A STAR IS BORN, the 1976 version, was the second remake: the first version was in 1937, nonmusical, the second was 1954 with the legendary Judy Garland, and the fourth was Lady Gaga of a few years ago. It is a story that always interests people, I guess. And it is Barbra's 80th birthday tomorrow.

This version of A Star is Born is actually the third version of this movie. Gaga's version was the 4th, as far as I remember. But Barbra's version was my favorite. You spoke of how long she held that note, you should react to A Piece of Sky from the movie Yentl. She holds the last note FOREVER!

This was a beautiful song from 1976 from Barbara Streisand and her singing voice was incredible on this song. I was 10 years old when this came out and I think '70's music was the best music of all time. You should check out " The Way We Were" from 1974 and " Woman In Love" from 1980 as those songs are great as well. I like the studio version of " Evergreen " as well since that is the version that played on the radio in 1976.
