That's why GD is known as a genius. A Kpop legend. He wrote the song that skyrocketed BIGBANG as a rookie group and have kept it up to keep them up there. Every member of BIGBANG is active in writing lyrics, but he does most of it plus compose and produce them. One of the things that I love the most about BIGBANG is that they all have their own solo careers, which means they all get to shine in every way possible. I think that's one of the main reasons why I became a VIP in like 2 secs after diving into their music 😁 I'm exaggerating ofc, but that's how it felt. I also love how most of their older songs are R&B focused, they've managed to keep up w/ the music trends, but for me, R&B is THAT genre 😍❤

This song was a part of their volume 1 album which was released at the end of 2006. During that era, GD doesn't have full control of Bigbang's music yet. Most of his contribution to this album was the lyrics and a bit of the melody. Still, even before they started as Bigbang, GD has written countless of lyrics in his precious notebooks while training to become an idol and producer and within his training, he was featured by senior artist and groups under YG.

There are three versions of this song. Fool of Tears, Candle and Together Forever. While IDK if it was done or purpose or not, the lyrics from the three tell a story. "Together Forever" is the English version and it is about a couple happily in love. "Candle" is the Japanese version and it is about a couple breaking up. This is the Korean version and the couple has broken up and he's missing her.
