Bill Medley was one of the RIghteous Brothers & a close friend of Elvis. When they were both doing concerts in Las Vegas, in-between shows, the two of them would go into one of the bars & sit & talk like ‘normal’ people. Not only was Elvis a global mega superstar, but he was acknowledged as the greatest celebrity humanitarian. He always said that God had blessed him with a voice from which he could earn a good living, in order that he shared the proceeds from that with people in need. He could never drive passed a homeless person without stopping, talking to that person, & then blessing him financially, or arranging for a home for him/her. He would pay the hospital/medical bills for people too poor to be able to have medical insurance, & once when a friend of one of his security guards was made homeless by a fire just before Christmas, he quietly arranged a home for her & her three children, had it filled with food, clothing, furniture, toys etc, & when asked by his security guard who he would say had done this for her, Elvis replied to just tell her Santa. He bought houses for friends & employees, paid for them to go on holiday with him when he vacationed in Hawaii with him & his family. He was supporting 50 charities in Tennessee when he died, & he regularly gave new costly cars to be auctioned for various charities … he once bought a presidential yacht & straight away donated it to a charity to be auctioned off. He often did benefit concerts to raise money. In Hawaii, the cancer society asked him to raise $25,000 for them to be able to build a hospital wing for cancer patients. He raised three times that much, asking people to just pay what they could afford to see the concert, plus he paid $1,000 for a ticket for himself to perform in his own concert …. That was worth a lot more back then than it is now. He was a very spiritual man & he put God first in his life, recommitting himself to God just two weeks before he passed. So he was so much more than just a great singer. He blessed so many people when he was alive & his estate is still blessing so many people. He was voted to be The Greatest Entertainer of the 20th Century. We who were alive when Elvis was alive, had our lives greatly enriched by his music & his love for humanity. Now people are still being blessed by him, as they come to know him & learn about him.

If everyone born lived their lives with the same love for people that Elvis had, there would be no hate and no wars. Only peace and happiness.

The best thing about being an Elvis fan is that you don't have to explain your feelings because we all feel that way about Elvis. The crazy part is how he so deeply mourned and missed by people who were born long after he died.

Love you girl, I appreciate all you do for Elvis, I hope Austin Butler Wind at the Golden globes. Bill Medley was one of the Righteous Brothers. He loved Elvis cause Elvis helped him do a solo act in Vegas when Bills brother died. So beauriful, you would love James Brown tribute to Elvis. Not as sad. Be. Blessed

Next along the same vein is from the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown -- who want a very very personal tribute version of Love Me Tender. James and Elvis shared the highest bond together humanly possible. They would just hang out at each others houses and sing gospel and talk to all hours of the morning.
