My grandpa passed away in 2018, he was 90 and we were very close. I'm on the autism spectrum and for me the only way I can have closure when someone dies is to see them in the casket so to speak. He was in a different state when he died and was cremated. We had a service here in Michigan but he was in an urn, I never really had closure like I needed to have. It's been seven years this upcoming December since he died and I'll admit I never really grieved his loss. About four days ago I came upon this song and haven't been able to stop listening to it, it fills me with peace and I like to believe my grandpa is speaking these words to me, go do the best things in life. Thank you disturbed for allowing me to grieve and look at loss in a positive way instead of a negative way.

This song reaches into your heart 😢. When I lost my mom I thought nothing could hurt more. In January of this year I stood by my son as he buried his 12 year old son Ryan. I gotta tell you the difference in the pain and grief is unmatched. We're not emotionally prepared to outlive our children or grandchildren. Sharing your memories though can be painful but sometimes you remember something that you used to do together that might bring a tear but can also bring a smile. There is little time in this world, love them deeply, hug them a little longer and cherish each and every memory.

❤ thanks for the reaction to Disturbed. Disturbed are incredible and need a deep dive for proper appreciation, lol! This band have the onerous problem of too many hits, resulting in too many sleeper songs that are great in their own right, but, have never had a live performance due to lack of time at concerts ... gotta play all the popular hits first, so no room for the rest. 😅 I'd like to offer 2 unsung, but IMO, great songs to check out, *Uninvited Guest *Overburdened And of course the favorites ... *Bad Man *The Light *Stricken *Inside the Fire *Prayer * Indestructible *Ten Thousand Fists * ...and at least a dozen more! David Draiman did an interview about Hold onto memories. He said he got the inspiration watching the movie CoCo with his kids. Its a beautiful song

I so much wanted your viewers to experience this amazing song, with a beautiful message for all of us. The lyrics with the message, our loved one's would want us to live on, and make the best of our lives is so true. This is the message that Disturbed was conveying as well, and Hold on to Memories. David has experienced loss in his life, and you can feel his emotions through the lyrics. The video's with they're music always goes well with what the song is about, and the message in they're lyrics.
