I love this song, there are so many layers, meanings and references. "That's irony" is a wordplay on "I, Ronnie" as the person with the mask is shown, so it is Ronnie. He crowns himself and he puts himself on the cross. The people copying him is a reference to "Life Of Brian". The main meanings I got from the song: Ronnie took his pain and anger and turned it into his superpowers. Don't follow leaders blindly or we will end up in a dystopian future. There's a lot more, I could write an essay about it. 😆

I don't think he woulda been lifted into the air like that in the same way unless it meant something important. Much different song, it's boppy and it's fun. Yet still so dark.
