@@SooRetroo No, let me correct something now that im thinking about it if we're talking about Alessandro Nesta I'm not evene sure he played with Baresi at all, with Maldini 100% he did .. *correction* Yeah Nesta didnt play with Baresi so he didnt learn from him (at least in the pitch :P)

Franz Backenbaeur won the ballon d'or twice and Cannavaro Once they the only defenders to ever win it. Maldini Finished 3rd In Ballon d'or twice in 2003 and in 1996. Franco Baresi a runner up once in 1992.

One of the greatest defenders of all time. Also one of the most loyal players( he played for only ac Milan in his career). His duo with baresi in 90s and later with Alessandro nesta in early 2000 was incredible. He retired in 2009. Although he had such a great career in club, he wasn’t lucky in international level. 1994 wc final and 2000 euro final( both lose). He retired from international in 2002. I had his shirt in 2010. By the way, you should react to his teammate nesta, also one of the best defenders of all time.

Maldini is a legend! You are very careful, yes, he played when Serie A dominated. He has played with and against the greatest players in the world for 25 years - from Maradona and Baggio to Romario and Ronaldo (the phenomenon) to Vieri, Zidane, Ibra etc etc etc several times nominated for the Ballon d'Or... at least 3 would have been his if ... and his father (Cesare Maldini) won the champion league of 62-32 as captain "first Italian team to win it"

He didn't change, he was always a centre back specially at AC Milan, he would eventually adapt to a left back later on (bear in mind most clips we are seeing are from his 28-40 part of his career since ofc he played to 40 or more)

@@kcapo89 I meant he started his career as a CB, went to LB because of an injury and got the spot and stayed there until 1999-2000. Then as he aged he moved into CB again. But he only got moved into LB because AC Milan had shortage of LB's. But he is a CB at heart. Thats all :)

Only thing that matters is to me he was the best defender ever and (without provoking) as a 1.88m player was one of the best full back and centre back of all time. Speed, Agression, Commitment, hard to find in any player, much less in only one club :)
