In the second part of this movie, you will learn that Hanuman had a son named Makardhwaj. The legend behind this story goes like this: After all the warriors, including Meghnad and Kumbhkaran were slain in the fierce battle of Lanka, Ravana decided to seek help from Mahiravana, who ruled the netherworld. Ravana told his brother all that happened ever since Ram and Lakshman slashed off their sister Shoorpnakha’s ears and nose. Mahiravana assured Ravana that he would seize Ram and Lakshman and take them to his kingdom, where he would sacrifice them to goddess Kamada. Every night, Hanuman guarded Ram and his army by surrounding his tail around the camp. But Mahiravana disguised himself as Vibheeshan and sneaked into the camp. He cast a spell on all so that they might go into deep sleep. He then picked Ram and Lakshman up and vanished to the netherworld. Everyone fell into despair upon hearing about the abduction. Vibheeshan told Hanuman that he was sure it was Mahiravana who had carried away Ram and Lakshman. After instructing Hanuman how to reach the netherworld, Vibheeshan asked him to go there and rescue Ram and Lakshman. Hanuman immediately set off to Patal. Hanuman soon came across Makardhwaj (a creature who was half monkey and half reptile). Makardhwaj was guarding the gates of Patal. Hanuman went to him and introduced himself. Makardhwaj immediately recognised as his father. He was born out of a drop of Hanuman’s sweat that fell into the sea when he extinguished the flame on his tail after burning Lanka. Makardhwaj was happy to see his father. He asked Hanuman to bless him. Hanuman hugged him and blessed him. Makardhwaj disclosed lots of confidential information about Ram and Lakshman, and also what fate awaited them. Hanuman also found out that both the captives were to be taken away at dawn to goddess Kamada’s temple to be sacrificed to the goddess. Even though Makardhwaj gave Hanuman all the facts he knew and was glad to meet his father, yet he was still loyal to Mahiravana. After all, he would not betray his mentor! So, he asked Hanuman to fight against him. Hanuman fought against his son, and defeated him. Soon, Hanuman saw a florist going into the temple. He changed himself into a bee and sat on a garland. The garland reached Mahiravana. He picked it up with both hands and put it around the statue of the goddess in the temple. There were lots of offerings in the form of food placed before the deity. Hanuman started consuming the food. The demons were happy to see the food disappearing. They thought the goddess herself was consuming them! When Ram and Lakshman were brought to the sacrificial alter, they heard the demons talking about food. They immediately understood that Hanuman was present there and that it was he who had consumed the food offered to the deity. Mahiravana proclaimed, “Princes! You have only a few moments left of your life”. Ram and Lakshman glanced at each other, smiling secretly. Hanuman recalled what Makardhwaj had told him about killing Mahiravana. He had to blow out five lamps kept in five different directions at the same time! To accomplish this, Hanuman assumed his Panchmukhi form with the faces of Hanuman, Hayagriv, Narasimha, Garuda and Varaha. He then extinguished all the five lamps simultaneously. Mahiravana was killed instantly. After killing Mahiravana, Hanuman killed many demons who came his way. Ram instructed Hanuman to instal his son Makardhwaj as the new king of the netherworld. Hanuman placed the golden crown on Makardhwaj’s head. Before leaving Patal, he advised his son to follow always the path of righteousness, and be loyal and sincere to lord Ram. Today, a temple is established at this very place in the memory of Makardhwaj. This temple is called Bet Dwarka Hanuman Dandi, situated in Gujarat

06:28 the valmiki ramayan (original) states that vanars are not monkey, they were humans living in forest and in monkey get ups Ram born and lives in city like ayodhya and hanuman born in forest 😊 Same as demons are not different from humans, humans with demonic characteristics are called demons in ramayan like ravan 😊 But nowadays, people thinks that vanars are monkey's In 15th century tulsidas had written a book ramcharitamanas, in which he makes hanuman monkey, that's why people thinking that hanuman is monkey Because tulsidas was very respected poet and author. So, people thinks that may be he was right😊
