Amar Akbar Anthony has three greats actors playing the titular characters. Amar (Hindu) is played by 'Vinod Khanna' . Father of 'Akshaye Khanna' . You saw Akshaye Khanna as the third guy apart from Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan in Dil Chahta Hai. Vinod Khanna was neck to neck in popularity with BigB in 70s BigB emerged as the sole superstar because Vinod Khanna sort of disappeared into spiritual discovery and became a follower of Osho. WATCH this film . It's an absolute classic and you will know why BIG B was called a ONE MAN INDUSTRY. Also how equipped of an actor he is. He does comedy so brilliantly that everyone in this film gets completely overshadowed and mind you they were all great actors in their own right... But one thing, don't expect it to be heavy on logic. It's just a perfect mixture of parody and realism for providing unsophisticated entertainment with tit-bits of emotions to help you connect with the characters.....Although BIG B won FILMFARE for best actor due to his brilliance in comedy.....
