This song is on repeat since the release.. it’s AMAZING!!🤩 it’s probably my new Insomnium song ever! I got chills from beginning to end. Can’t wait for the album, specially if it is a concept album.. we’ll have to wait and see😛 As for the video, I think it imply strongly that the girl transforms into the Wolf… Specially when they show both the wolf and girl almost doing the same motion like turning their head and so on. And with the chorus saying "I drift in twilight I stray into the dusk I'm lost in her eyes" The guy and the wolf clearly look into each other eyes so.. my guess would be that she transformed and she left cause of it or something.. But I digress.. all of that to say that the song is fucking amazing and the video too😝 Awesome review as always guys! 🤘 *and yes they surely had a trainer for the wolf who is called Tihu btw 😁

I feel no sadness from this, instead I feel somewhat uplifted, perhaps, in spite of sadness. Well, since it's been quite some time since I've harassed you two fine djentlemen with a suggestion, I have one more: Securitron (Police State 2000) by Fear Factory. I know you reacted to one FF song a while ago, but this is off the next album after, and with much much improved production quality, at least by 1996 / 97 standards, lol.

this is veeery good. their "while we sleep" is a true masterpiece. I like melodies in metal. best sad band for me is katatonia between 1999 and 2016. to mind also come excellent bands like amorphis, bloodred hourglas and mors subita. keep up your great reactions, guys.

Honestly my personal favourites from Insomnium are Pale Morning Star and the Winter's Gate album but Shadows of the Dying Sun is also a beauty! And I love Amorphis as well! /Andrei

Is the album about the Finnish Famine around that time period? I know it killed almost a third of the Finnish people. It just sounds like a pretty important and impactful event in Finnish history. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong with my quess. Hah!
