What happened to him, IMHO, was pride. Jett wanted everyone to know he let him by, not that he was passed.

I feel like people are really diving waaaayyy too deep into this. Those two were hauling ass. I think Jett just realized he didn’t need to keep running that pace. I think it’s just a young kid doing something that is coming off way worse than intended. His interview did come off wrong, but I think it’s a kid just saying something that sounds better in his head than how it actually sounds. We all have to remember he’s still a kid. Just don’t get why his character is being slammed for one goofy mistake.

Watching it I felt like Jett didn't want to keep pushing as hard as he was and let KR by instead of being passed by him. I could be wrong ofcourse, KR may have never gotten the pass, but one thing is for sure, Jett couldn't shake him the whole moto. It's going to be a good finale if everyone gets a good start!

Does anyone remember, “let Brock by”, that was for a championship and promanamce for Yamaha. That was pre internet and social media, more people now can weigh in on any such happenings, I like it, good for the sport, please don’t beat a dead horse.

Your comment section is absolutely hilarious Johnny. Jett was riding at like 75% the last 2 laps and stopped 4 seconds per lap. That’s why Ken even caught up to begin with. Jet knows Ken fades every race, no way is Kenny getting around him, and he he somehow did, he isn’t staying there long. The “Jett was scared” crowd is silly…

Jett ain’t got nothing to prove. He’s a phenom. Who cares if he waved him by. Catching a guy, pressuring a guy, and passing a guy are three very different things.

Why does everyone seem to think that Jett was doing anything other than trying to gain extra points on Sexton? He got the math wrong but there is no reason to believe that's not what he thought he was doing.

I like the warning. Cooksey brought up a good point about Hunter moving into the class next year. We can't have them letting each other by for overalls on certain days.

The one thing I think was highlighted by this was that the way points are awarded is not correct in the SMX format. There should be individual moto scores not a "Overall winner" that gets full points for the event. If they were awarding points by race he would have lost 3 points by letting him by. There should be incentive to win each moto, not doing the math and saying I'm OK if I finish second or third in a moto and still get max points.

If Jett is going to let Roczen pass why does he have to work to disguise it and do it in a specific place on the track. My feeling is, Jett waved him by when the track was wide, safe and smooth, which is exactly what he should have done. Jett can't predict what Ken is going to do at any given moment, especially when something so out of the ordinary occurs such as another rider pulling over to let you by. So, why not do the safest thing possible? Jett is a smart kid incredible instincts. I think he did just the right thing.

Cooksey mentioned that the AMA may have sent the warning to be proactive in making sure something like this does not happen when Jett and Hunter are team mates both riding 450. Brothers will do ANYTHING to help out the other and those two are tight! who knows. ???

A written warning doesn't mean anything. But it just shows others sports and people how serious this sport is about not altering the outcome and performance of the competitors and the equipment. This is real racing not just the heads of the sport saying let's have this person win today.....
