She really gets your attention. :) They are from Ukraine which makes it harder to get recognition and publicity. I've seen them twice in concert and they are epic. She goes even lower in Who Is Gonna Be The One, and Perennial at Wacken is an amazing performance in concert. Tatiana always loved singing and had a few months of instruction in school but didn't have the discipline to do anything with it at the time. At 15 she was introduced to Otep, and was shocked to learn Otep is a woman. She started singing cleans in local bands to build a clean singing foundation. She started learning growls when she was 18, practiced the technique for 4 years, first learning to emulate Dig by Mudvayne and then Laid To Rest by Lamb Of God. She started performing with growls in the band she sang with for about a year before joining Jinjer. She joined Jinjer in either late 2009 or early 2010 and is constantly improving both her clean and growling skills. They were forced to leave their homes by the war in eastern Ukraine and eventually settled in Kiev. Having left everything behind they threw themselves into performing, at first basically singing for their supper. Since this Video came out they've been reaching larger and larger audiences and are now touring almost constantly. They did 152 shows in 2019.

"She has a chill voice" 😂🤣 lol This is my favourite band and they are from Ukraine. Not a new band cause they started in 2009 back in their country where they started touring in small shitty bar and venues. They have grown a lot cause the quality of their music and the delivery when they perform live. The singer, Tatiana Shmaylyuk, is one of the best singers in metal right now. The guys Eugene(Bass), Roman (guitar) and Vlad (drums) and master of their instruments and are really precise in every note. If you want to react to a live song then check out : "Who's gonna be the one" official live video. "I Speak Astronomy" live at Summer breeze 2018 "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019, their best live performance! You can fo wrong with Jinjer cause they dont have a bad song. Thanks for the reaction bro!

Saw them live a few months ago...amazing live band. Might want to check out Teacher Teacher, or Perineal live at wacken next....then about 30 other songs, they don't have a bad song.

2:18 Man, him looking away just before led to one of the best shocked reactions I've seen to this, from a guy who does not look like he's easily shaken. The band is Ukrainian, so while they've been around for ten years, they grew a bit slowly around Europe until they only got big globally in the last couple years. I strongly recommend Perennial live at Wacken 2019 for an excellent example of their live performance at an outdoor festival.

It's interesting that you brought up Tool. They have also been my favorite band for a long time now and while they are stylistically different, the two bands do have some things in common that have hit me. All the members are very talented on their own and it seems as if there are constantly little details that I pick up on with multiple listens. They also have quite a bit of diversity throughout their discography while still having a unique sound and they keep you guessing with what is coming next. Jinjer released their latest album Macro about a month after Fear Inoculum came out. I was legitimately more excited for Macro and that blew my mind!

If you wanna hear some high growls listen to Who is Gonna Be the One. After the breakdown Tatiana goes from an incredibly deep tunnel throat that sounds like someone draining water out of a bathtub to a really high visceral scream that sounds like someone's being murdered. In the live version I don't think she does the tunnel throat, but it still sounds really good.

Great reaction to Tatiana's voice and Jinjer! As a very recent subscriber, I haven't had time to check all of your reactions out yet (but I'm working on it). However, because of your comment about Metal Groups with female leads, I was wondering if you are familiar with Nightwish...a group that has been around a while from Finland. They have had (at least) 3 wonderful female lead singers. Currently the lead is Floor Jansen...who is stunning, imposing and one of the most talented and versatile female leads around. I definitely think you would enjoy "Ghost Love Score" the official live version from Wacken 2013. It's a great place to start if you haven't heard it. After you react, you may find yourself "invaded" by the NIghtwish Army of enthusiastic fans. There is a progression of reactions...and I just suggested the first as a means to your initial "Floorgasm".
