He was definately the Man of the hour..the day...the year..the decade.😊😊 and still is. This last week he held 12 of the top 20 album positions in the Aussie charts. Aussies still showing their love is beautiful to watch. ❤❤

This concert is really worth watching, it's at the Opera House. In the 2nd half the full orchestra joins him. It's with the SSO - the Sydney Symphony Orchestra ❤.

This concert was at the Sydney Opera House so the Sydney Symphony Orchestra thinking this would’ve been 2005 maybe 2006 This is a few years after The Last Time tour when John decided to down size from venues that hold up 15,000 plus , Sydney Opera House main concert hall only hold just under 3,000 . John was promoting a covers album on this tour . John recorded a covers album of Australian classics I Remember When I Was Young , Songs From Great Australian Songbook . This song Man Of The Hour is from 33 1/3 album 2000 it was written by co-written by American born Australian songwriter Steve Kipner that wrote Physical for Olivia John and Genie In A Bottle for Christina Aguilera .

John doesn't change. His whole career he made a point of spotlighting his band members and mentioning their name. His shows were always terrific. Not to mention his voice!! Just a lovely human being !!!

I haven’t heard this one before but I am no longer surprised when I find a new John song. There are so many. When you are a part of John’s band, back up singers or roadies you are family. One time he didn’t tour for some years so he told anyone if they were available he would love to have them. They all quit their jobs and were there. Off stage or TV he isn’t that out there showman person, that is more his defense because he was shy and he is still is in many ways. That is another reason he is loved. When he isn’t working he would rather be home with family and he has always had two strong women in his life. Jill and Glenn’s wife Gaynor, I know Glenn is so proud of how much she has stepped up to complete John’s movie and be there for them all when John got sick even though she had just lost Glenn. She is still manager of Glenn’s business. Thank you for this, I have missed you.❤ PS I just found out that John’s surgery took eleven and half hours, that I knew. What I didn’t know was he had 26 specialist Surgeons. Either they took shifts or it was very crowded in there but I love each and everyone of them. I used to live near the hospital and he had Plastic Surgeons. I know mine would be there because he is known as the best. He is shy and sweet, he looks like Ronald MacDonald. I was sent to him when I needed what was thought to be cancer under my eye removed. The surgeon I was sent to first told me he could remove it but he would leave a hole in my face until I told my Doctor and she sent me to him. He did a half under eye lift which still looked the same as my other eye and left no scars. I loved that he charged rich people a lot and he quietly went to the Children’s Hospital to fix little one’s faces for free.

John never gives a bad performance & we must remember that his Whispering Jack album & the song You're The Voice was almost 38 years ago, now that's scary & he & his band have gotten older naturally but the admiration for John will always continue. Now we can pray that he will do concerts again & by the news we have heard he IS cancer free & singing to himself. Maybe he is rehearsing his voice for upcoming events, let's see but as long as he is well & strong & he will be The Man Of The Hour & for all time.

Oooh. This song may have been written for him.. American born australian "Steven kipner" song writer. I think it's reflecting on his young years... "king of pop" where he was taken advantage of then dropped by the music scene. And that there is is when and where the public plea for "HELP" came. Don Lane fell in love with John which helped too.

Hey guys, I love the truthful position that you take. I love John, his voice, his personality, his comedy, but there is even the odd song of John, that I'm not too fond off. This is definitely not one of those songs, I love this one. Great pick guys, and even though you have seen quite a few of his songs, you're still only scrapping the top, so many more for you to enjoy. Hi from down under I don't know if you are interested in non musical stuff but John Farnham went on the variety club bash in 1989 The Bourke to Broome very entertaining also the 1991 Bourke to Beagle theres also a channel 10 upload from the 1989 which hes in as well(not as much)the channel is Ocean to Outback this is what the true spirit of aussie is lots of fun and not too serious i would like to see your reaction to these.
