Enter Sandman a big radio play and radio friendly song. Most people, even non metal heads know it. Holier than Thou is one of my favorites on this album. I think your cat Harley liked it too, caught him head banging 😂

Metallica has a new music video out and it's called lux aeterna and they also have a new cd coming out April 14th of 2023. It's called 72 seasons. I am just going by what googled had gave me when I looked it up. Also I have another band I think you would like. The band I'm talking about is called Veridia two of the songs are called we are The brave and still breathing. A good band and good songs.

Metallica (the Black album) was a huge commercial success and when Metallica went mainstream. It gained a big new audience and lost some hardcore Metallica fans.

Hi Sarah. I'm sorry to hear you have been struggling recently. This time of year has a tendency to intensify all kinds of problems, wether health related or emotional (or both). I must admit I am finding things hard just now too so can easily empathise. I just hope that your Mom and Dad are both doing ok on their treatment plans. I know I haven't been commenting so much recently but I have still been concerned. As for getting up and at 'em - Metallica will always help with that! 😁 Enter Sandman is ubiquitous and perhaps therefore over exposed a teeny bit, but when you sit back and listen properly it is just about the perfect song. Great riff, memorable drums, killer hooks, stadium sized chorus and one of the top 10 all time great guitar solos. What's not to love? I often theorises that the lyrics of this should be part of James' personal/childhood songbook like Unforgiven and God That Failed. It is not so overt but as the Christian prayer is used in a sinister context (if you don't say your prayers then the Sandman will get you!) it definitely seems plausibly rooted in James' childhood. Holier than thou for me is possibly about James' parents (a lot of this album is) but it is clearly also more broad too so that everyone can relate. Another Great riff and killer solo combination, and yes Jason gets a chance make his presence felt too. Happy days. Must say I love this album! Peak Metallica for me, but then as their new song Lux Aeterna shows Metallica have a whole mountain range of peaks to enjoy! I hope you have a better week ahead, Sarah! I'd suggest one of the following bands - Foreigner, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, Motley Crue, Scorpions, Testament, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Styx, REO Speedwagon after finishing the Metallica black album.

I think I’m going to suggest you reacting to Metallica’s Load album (the album after this one). There’s a BIG change in sound on Load and Reload. I’d be very interested in your take on those albums.
