Reaction - Nightwish - Wish I had an angel - Singer trilogy

My reactions to Nightwish's Wish I had an angel from 3 different concerts withTarja in 2005, Annette in 2008, and then Floor in 2013 singing.

What you have to remember is that Tuomas wrote that for when Tarja was the singer, Annette had a different type of voice, and the songs Tuomas wrote for her better suited her voice. Were as Floor's versatility means she can suit her voice to both other singer's styles.

It's just the case that Floor makes feckin' everything better. She is so awesome. you often times can't even explain why. Her vocal abilities, her stage presence, her humble, kind personality. She is kind of a super woman. What a feckin' lucky dude Hannes is to be her husband.

And, through all three there is Marko adding the perfect compliment to each very different female voice. I enjoyed that comparison. I'm with others in not being too enthusiastic about Annette's live performances, but all three have contributed in their own way. Floor, though, is the most complete performer, not only vocally, but in the way she commands a stage.

This trilogy was awesome. How do think about another one for 'Wishmaster' or 'She is my sin'. There are live videos with all 3 singers but not all from the official Nightwish channel

Floor and Tarya both were magnificent, but there is another point that should be considered and that is Marko’s energy. Both Tarya and Floor lifted him up but Annette couldn’t motivate him so that his voice sounded tired and flat, like he just couldn’t be bothered to give it his best shot. So unlike him as he is a fantastic singer. I’m not going to criticise Annette but she couldn’t hold a candle to the other two ladies. Her voice is no match to the music and she hasn’t the power to sing above the music. I’m a Floor fan but I loved Tarya here just as much, maybe even a tad more then Floor’s rendition.

The first clip, was recorded 2 hours before they would announce not to go further with Tarja. She did not know yet. She often said she was leaving and wanted to go solo and other problems (not practicing and a husband that did not allow her to travel with the guys on your) They are childhood friends and the guys were very emotional (you can see that in other songs of this concert) Anette was a mistake in my opinion. She has a very small range and a is more a pop singer. Floor is for a very long time their front singer and she is a Valkery beast with the most beautiful, but also most metal voice. (she also can growl like a big dude) Wacken 2013, Floor was a stand in singer for Anette and was very new here. She did so well, Wacken is special! Thanks sir! Awesme you listened to all three! Encore plus d'écoute SVP, fiez vous à la liste de Gabriel pour avoir le meilleur du groupe mais ce n'est pas une obligation. I personally dont get the Anette hate some people seem to have, i think shes great! Yes, shes not Tarja or Floor, but that doesnt make her a bad singer. She sung songs that werent written for her voice type, and did a good job. After Tarja, Tuomas wanted a fresh start and i think Anette brought alot of good to the band

I think I like Tarja and Floor's versions equally, but in different ways. While I like Annete's least, its only comparatively speaking, and possibly as much to do with the sound quality than her performance. The balance is wrong with her mic up too high (or maybe she needed to hold it further away) in the harmonising part where Marko sings the chorus. She did fine though, and I thought she sounded more rocky than poppy in this one. If you want to hear a good quality live performance with Annette, check out her in Slow love Slow at the Murreaux Jazz festival. She is so good in that.

I immediately skipped Anette's performance, because it's just bad! Tarja and Floor are the real frontwomen of Nightwish, while Anette is a total failure on the live stage. In the studio she wasn't that bad now and with a mainstream band her vocal skills would have been enough ... but for Nightwish it was nowhere near enough.

I love Tarja but her English pronunciation doesn't do it for me though I recognize she is a Queen!!! Anette? I don't like ANY Tarja songs that she sings so no thanks on that version, I don't water anything down, it was TERRIBLE. Floor for me is PHENOMENAL and the BEST version!!!
