Honestly these guys transferring to great programs has some positives. Any time I watched Arizona, they would talk about Keshad and SDSU extremely highly. Getting those guys to those other conferences like SEC and ACC is huge. It’s not ideal but so long as we can co time to add and retain talent , it’s defintely still a spillover benefit

Gwath and Compton are going to be ready to contribute. It’s gonna be a fun early season as they figure out rotations and how guys mesh. Heide had some nice moments too. It’ll be interesting to see where leadership emerges from

I watched more Arizona games because Keshad played there. I plan on watching more Kentucky games, Ohio games. I am a little more sour on Saunders leaving but I will probably watch his games too. I root for these guys and also want to see how they play in different programs. In order for me to want to watch ex Aztecs I think they need to be in the program at least 2 years and show some production I. Those 2 years.

How the lower budget schools carves out their lanes in this landscape is to get talented freshman ; developing players; and by not only picking up top transfers from smaller programs but by picking up top off the bench players from top programs who want starting minutes.

Good move by Saunders. He has a good opportunity to start since their best forward had the same stat line as Saunders but played 10 more minutes. Good chance he was not going to start with Aztecs.

There has to be regulation? One thing I will say is that a coach should not be able to leave before their contract is up. When a head coach leaves a player should be able to transfer! Outside of a head coach leaving they should only be able to have one other transfer available during their college years.

NIL era needs to be regulated. The P5 already have big bucks, they can pay big bucks for any player.

yes, but with high turn over rates because of NIL, good coaching is now a premium to be able to develop a team quickly. Coach Dutch is able to do that better than most

If the Aztecs keep loosing top end players before their senior year because of students leaving For more money then they can just supplement with other players from other programs. It’s a double edge sword. Aztecs have brought in transfers that have taken minutes away from players that are not transfers so expect players to leave when this happens. Also even if you guarantee players starting minutes they still might leave for more money.

A lot of schools are losing players to the portal. If your team isn’t using the portal, then your team is probably not playing their best! Gone are the days where we watched the college kids grow up and develop. It’s more like how we support pro teams. We expect turnover and will see one of your beloved players suit up for a rival next year. IIWIS

Keshad always would've shot more 3s here if he had MADE them here. LeDee's stock went through the roof from the year he had HERE

If Keshad had stayed, we would've had much stronger rebounding, inside scoring, and 3pt, and we would've ran away with the MWC and gotten a better seed, aka not running into UCONN so early in the tourney, aka more hype and exposure to NBA scouts LeDee missed the combine because of his age and other factors, not because he was at the wrong school.
