As it comes to vocal music, the "brand" "Sissel" guarantees quality. Another one of our outstanding vioces from Norway, that grew rather big in the world. Since the 80s she has done great performances in classic music, in musicals, gospel as in popular music. In this she is in her real home musically home, as I see it. She has worked with big names of several genres, on the biggest scenes. Luckily, in her 50s, she is still going strong, and possibly even more so than ever. Her controll and effortlessness is outstanding, as it has always been.

Sissel is indeed one of the greatest treasures Norway has produced. Her cross over songs are breathtaking due to tone and control. This wonderful song is about allowing inner peace to enter your life and soul. Good job in paying respect to this artist.

Sissel is considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos and was also knighted by the Norwegian king as the youngest ever to receive this honor. I was there at this concert and it was life changing! In an auditorium of 20,000 people (literally), you could have heard a pin drop during this song. It was mesmerizing and calming and inspirational all at the same time. And she was, and always is, so gracious to the audience’s reactions. The standing ovation went on for soooooo long, and rightfully so!!! And the fact that this performance was the debut of this song made it that much sweeter to be there in person. It is truly a treasured memory that I will never, ever forget!! Sissel is one of my favorite artists and is a favorite here in Salt Lake City. The first time I saw her perform was in 2006 or 2007? And then when she came back to SLC for her Northern Lights tour in early 2008, I was there in a heartbeat!!

Sissel is an emotion-feeding singer in that she draws on the meaning of a song to make her performance.Some video clips show her eyes swimming in tears and in Sally Gardens, she weeps openly.. Siss says you can't sing while crying, & must control emotions. Here, she is overcome by the audience reaction.

She is an angel. Sissel has been recognized as Norway's national treasure since she was 16. She sang at the Norway winter Olympics when she was 18. Think about that for a minute. What were we all doing when we were 18? Her version of O Mio Babino Caro brings me to tears every time. In addition to O Mio Babino Caro (linked elsewhere in the comments), look for her version of Shenandoah.

Thank you for that! Sissel and Enya are one of the most beautiful female artists and vocals of all time ;) Please make some reaction videos of the beautiful ENYA - another light or angel.
