Thanks for reacting to my favourite artist. You are not exaggerating when you say that she hits the same notes every time. I was once on a concert with her sitting on the first row. She was so close that I could hear her voice directly and through the speakers. She is not fake, it just amazing to listen to her pure voice.

Thank you for your reaction. Sissel is a crossover soprano who sings any genre beautifully. She was in a girls choir when she was young and will often include girls choirs in her performances. Hope you react to more Sissel

Lady Sissel Kyrkjebø ( knighted by the king of Norway ) is one of the worlds best ( if not the best ) female crossover sopranos. She is known for her crystal clear voice. If you have seen the movie Titanic you have heard her before. I think she is the only singer performed in front of the Tabernacle Choir 3 times. Not opera but from Faure's Requiem.... a classical piece, nonetheless. Siss is famous for her smile too. She is quite a down to earth person yet exudes her particular majesty when she sings. She sang this in her All Good Things concert of mixed genres.

You mentioned how good her performance would sound in a church or cathedral... Well, check out her performances as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s featured vocalist at their Christmas show. Particularly the song “Slow down”. She is my all-time favorite vocalist, male or female, and in any genre, not just opera!

I am not sure but I don't think Sissel prepare much before she goes on stage. Veni, vidi, vici. She knows the lyrics. She rehearsal but I don't think she warm up her voice. She has a natural cut clean soprano. This is not opera, tho. It's necessarily not jazz only because someone plays the contra bass. Opera is a song play for specially trained opera singers. Pie Jesu is composed by Lloyd-Webber. More of a classical piece of music
