I know everyone was expecting a tina shredfest but I think this was a smart way to go. We all know she can melt the guitar strings and I am sure that is coming. This isn't "Tina S and the Spin Twice Band". She didn't stand out intentionally. This does sound commercial but that's likely how they will have to start if they want to break thru. What thrills me is....Tina is back! I am going to love following her re-emergence!

Listen to it several times. It is well produced with a great deal of layering, especially the guitar. Remember, she is the music. The bass it seems was added, post production perhaps. Then it's drums, and vocals. I believe the music is the avenue to a more expansive audience than the niche carved out by her previous covers - not everyone looks for those videos. And half of those people didn't survive. Their heads exploded! The video shows them in HER studio. A lot of money tied up there so they have to get something appealing out to get some money in. Should this song be played in a live situation (or an extended version) there is plenty of space for her to add something that's going to hurt your brain, don't worry. Bottom line: I like it. I like it a lot!

.....the middle riff or even the end has LOADS of potential for a guitaring genius to step in....but the bottom line here has to be....if it aint broke....why fix it!!!? Anywhere from here has to be great to amazing!!!! 👍🏻

If you listen to the lyrics they have meaning lyrics are more powerful than guitar solos

everyone knows Tina's technical ability, but when she was doing covers a lot of the questions were around whether she can be part of a band and create original music. well the answer is yes. she even released a statement saying she needed a break from all the technical stuff and wanted to explore being part of a band. this being her first attempt, i think they did a pretty good job. i'm just grateful she still has a guitar in her hand, because she could have easily have walked away from music. she has my support regardless.

That was actually a great tune !! Thanks for the heads up ... I will be checking out more of their material.

They have done a couple more songs that I think are also very good! As 'openers' these are VERY GOOD songs! There is no denying the talent here....and the sky is the only limit!! The guitar throughout this song is exactly the right amount of what the songs needs.....with that twist of class and intrigue that Tina S always brings! These lads are at the top of their game too.......I, for one, cannot wait to see where they go.....if this is 'just' the start!!! 👏🎸🤟🏻

Wtf some commentators say about Tina ( commercial song, is not Tina years ago etc.) is really incredible condescending. Do they believe she will always play cover songs? She wants own, original songs with her band. And yes she developed, is grown up, has a new outfit, blonde hair and tatoos. This is Tina now she is an adult and she is back. Let us enjoy her music now and in the future.

I've loved watching Tina over the last few years and was pretty pumped to learn about this. Yea it's probably not what people expected. I've listened to it a few times and like it more each time. I'm just excited to see what this develops into. Damn happy to see Tina, I'm digging her new vibe.

I think one should be mindful that when teenagers show up as virtuosos covering what is essentially boomer rock, prog and such, that's probably going to be music that their teacher, mentor etc will have suggested that they focus on. Just because Tina played that music back in the day, doesn't mean it was the music she genuinely enjoyed just as a person in general. In fact, for all we know, this kind of early 2000's pop-punk/emo-core might have been her personal jam/preference all along. It might have been what she listened to when she was on her own. Or not. We just don't know. In any case, regardless of our personal tastes, I hope everyone will cheer Tina on. The hard tack in musical style can only mean that she and her band are obviously doing this on their own terms, and that can only be applauded.

Gives me Nu Metal vibes but I like it. I think the guitars do what the song needs. I like the vocalist's as well. Interested to see how they progress.

get real ! this is an original song , not a cover ! listen to all of their songs , for a new band to produce such a together polished sound is testament to the talent present !

kinda gives me a "Bring Me The Horizon" vibe. We have to remember that this is all new. We cant expect her to come out blazing Steve Vai solos right off the bat. She is part of a group now and she may not want to overstep her place in that band. I liked the song honestly

Is there something wrong with commercial music. As a rule, music that is listened to in abundance is commercial. I've been a Pink Floyd fan since the beginning, as well as Night Wish. both have always had their own style and they have become commercial because people have liked the products. The fifth time I listened to "whats wrong with me" and it sounds bigger than the trio that plays it. Tina is one part of the band and it is not intended that spin twice = Tina, but Tina is part of the whole. Everyone knows her excellent skill with the guitar, but it is often fatal for the band if everything is focused on one person. However, it is a joint product of three people.

Can shred be declared officially dead? At least she's proved it doesn't stunt your growth.

This isn't a linear structured song - it's layered. There's only one guitarist that does what Tina is doing in this song...and we've been listening to this dude's 'licks' for decades and that 'dude' is U2's Edge. Tina's playing in sync with singer but then goes subtly solo when possible but not in an overpowering way. Yes, the song is 'commercial' sounding - nothing wrong with that. Enjoyed the review! Cheers...

She still plays well and I enjoyed the song. She went to college as I have heard and has a degree in some sort of electrical studies. It did not sound like an easy course of study so we know she is smart. However, she is now a hot mess! I sure hope Sina Doering dose not copy her new look.
