The M/V is about overcoming fear, anxiety etc. Those Chinese words that were disappearing at the top was those fears being eliminated. So the children in the band (ironically 8 of them) had all of those worries and by the end, they were able to concur and perform. Most of their songs have an obvious or hidden meaning. Love that you appreciate their talent....which is why JYP allows them to write and produce their own music. Thank you for reacting!

From what I recall, there were references to Pirates of the Carribean, The Dark Knight, and Mad Max. Blue hair dude was Felix. You should definitely check out the releases connected with their latest album "Ate". Especially the MVs for Chk Chk Boom, Mountains, JJam, and Stray Kids (this is more of a nostalgic anthem). for you to understand it more you need to see the trailer and intro haha i just try to explain it shortly: Its English name “LALALALA” refers to the key sentence of the song, but its Korean name “락 (樂)” has more meaning : “락” is the hangul character for “rock” and “樂” is a Chinese character meaning “pleasure”. This song is about breaking free from worries and just focusing on having fun, and in the MV we can see 4 Chinese characters: “joy”, “anger”, “sorrow” and “pleasure” who appear to be more or less fighting. Only pleasure remains in the end, the others having disappeared throughout the MV. The eight kids are representing Skz and Skz is helping them to overcome their anxiety while performing so in the end the chinese character pleasure is still there while the other emotions just vanish so they just should have fun. thank you for your reaction ❤️ also yes they’re referring to different movies but also some of their own lore they have going on like the school bus haha

We always want more stray kids! Since you seems to like their heavier beats I rec watching the newest music video JJAM! I'm pretty sure you guys will like it :) The video as some have already mentioned is about over coming difficult emotions and just Joy life. The Chinese characters floating in the air are Happiness, Anger, Sadness and Joy, together they form a Chinese expression of life cycle of human emotions. In every scene we "beat" or "overcome" the said emotion and the character vanishes. The huge creatures are representation of stage fright but luckily SKZ are there with the small marching band to beat the evil. The character of Joy (樂) is also in the name of the album "rock"-star so it is a word play between languages.

I enjoyed your reactions and was so happy to see this reaction from you guys [welcome back] I thought I would mention that Stray Kids is up for a 2024 Billboard MTV VMS award for Best K-Pop for this song - so go vote for them. They won last year 2023 for the title track of S-Class from the 5 Star album and I would love for this to happen for them again. They really deserve it. 🖖🏽

love the reactions. You guys are missing out on the latest mini album released 3 weeks ago with Chk Chk Boom m/v (special cameos in the m/v), and Mountains m/v and you will really love the beats in JJam m/v. They also have another m/v released called Stray Kids and the song and m/v is a look back from they began to the future. It is more meaningful to the fans and is also a great song even if you haven't been a stay fan for long.

The meaning of MV and songs is not what it seems. The guys themselves talked about the idea of MV. Children's fears of the performance should be turned into the pleasure of the performance. It's short. The hieroglyph "rock" means "pleasure".
