Slash is the name of the song that is going to be in the soundtrack for the Wolverine and Deadpool Movie. SKZ filmed the MV in NYC while they were attending the Met Gala and promoting Lose My Breath feat Charlie Puth. Ryan Reynolds wanted SKZ to guest appear in the movie but SKZ had prior engagements and couldn't do it. Marvel didn't know that Wolverine and Deadpool would be in CHK CHK BOOM MV until it dropped.

You are right that this song is more "quiet" than usual. They wanted to come out with a more mainstream sound that would still sound like Straykids and they explained that that was the reason it took so long to cook this album, they were not satisfied with the first track attempts, but in the end we got a full album of bangers. StrayKids genre is experimentation so I'm always happy when I hear different sounds and music structures, I would assume that will not be the case for those who are more casual listeners and may have certain expectations about a specific sound, but I hope people likes the song! You could say it's a double-sided collaboration. On this M/V there are a lot of references to the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, and then on the movie Stray Kids has a song (Slash) on the OST. I can't wait to hear that song!

2 of 8 members are Australian. Felix and Chan raised in Sydney so English is also their native language and they have Assuie accent. Other members also know English but some more some less. They're working on their pronounciations before recording the song. Btw idk if you know but Kpop groups also sing their some songs in Japanese and Japan Stays (Stray Kids fans) say that their Japanese pronounciations in their songs are also good. They are working hard and singing in Korean, Japanese, English and keeping them clean is not that easy.

his is not an ost, this is just their title song for the album, and Ryan and Hugh just wanted to appear in their video as they have been close friends esp with Chris since 2021 they even interviewed them haha. Ryan said that Marvel Studios had no idea that he starred in the SKZ video. It turns out he took the Deadpool costume without asking. and they really will have an OST, but it’s a separate song called SLASH that was played at the end of the credits. Stray Kids have actually been friends with RR and HJ for a few years. But other than them appearing in the M/V, the song Chk Chk Boom is not related to the Deadpool movie at all. Skz is also using some samples in their songs and creates some totally new. Han said that they wanted to try Latin beat because Skz members love and listen that genre recently and they asked one of their producers to create that type of beat and the producer did that 1 day after. He said Changbin and Chan started to write and sing on top of the beat right away they heard the beat in INTRO of ATE album video. Skz sometimes create their beat sometimes producers who they work with creates and sometimes they use samples. Every producers use samples in some of their songs. Using sample is not a bad thing the important thing is that how you use it. They are also idols they can't do every one of details of the songs themselves and that doesn't change the fact that they're self-produced group.

So samples exist even if they were not the main thing for their songs. And samples are not songs' total it's just their some parts. It's totally normal using some samples among producers. They literally pay for those samples. So they use samples in some parts just like any other not just kpop but general producers. Chan one time explained what does sample mean and how it works.
