It is over for Red. He has been with the program, and had 2 years of bad performance. So, he has had plenty of time to ramp with the the NIL BS. They won't beat a good team all year, and they haven't beat a good team all year.

Autry isn't head coach material and next year's incoming class won't save him from his incompetence This far into the season and little to nothing had changed No chemistry No leader on the floor Its a bunch of individuals running around on the court Autry just isn't a motivator

Fan since I can remember back in the early 80s. Bleed orange. Didn't watch a second of this game. First time by choice in my life. Knew what the outcome was going to be. Red Autry was a great Cuse player, love him for that. What he isn't is a head coach at this level. From selecting the players we currently trot out there that are just not good or don't try or both, to running no offense, teaching/playing no defense, or changing playing styles. And podcaster ... Clemson isn't just "too good" (a good team but not even ranked in the mediocre world NCAAB is now in). The correct conclusion is Cuse is just that bad. Also, JJ had no assists ... how is that possible? Is there no one to dish to when everyone is trying to stop just you. We all know the answer to that question.

I have watch every Syracuse game this year, and I have noticed that there is no chemistry with Chris Bell this year, no one wants to give him the ball. Thats part of the reason why he has disappeared this year. I know he should try to make himself more available, which he doesn't, so that like a no win situation with him. Even with Judah last year, he got the ball alot. So I am 75, grew up as Syracuse fan, Watched Big East, now living in NC and thank full I even get to see Syracuse play. This is truly a bad team. Sad, but still have hope when I watch them. Cant take that away......... lol......... Thanks for your podcast.

My guess is we won't see Donnie Freeman again this season and he will probably enter transfer portal at end of season since he is not NBA ready, this is awful situation. I also expect several others to enter the portal that are not getting playing time, we may have a entirely different team next year. My worries as a SU fan, is that the commits white and anthony may back out and select other school, after this horrible season. I would venture to say if this all happens, it will lead to firing of coach autry.

@@OZWizard as long as Red stays, I think Kiyan and Sadiq will be here. However I don’t think they are good enough players to help Syracuse be a top 25 team right away as a freshman. The team needs JJ, Moore and several top 100 transfers. Look at Rutgers. With two freshman’s who are both round 1 NBA prospect, they are struggling. If Donnie comes back and then pick up a big man who can score, rebound, and block, it would be ideal. However with the portal can’t predict anything about the future roster.

I'm not worried about losing Kiyan/Sadiq because they're already signed, and barring a coaching change, I believe they're locked in. As far as your worry about an entirely different team, that's not my worry. Louisville has one player from last year's team on it... and it's a walk-on. I'm assuming Autry will get year 3 so at this point I'm hoping they hit a home run in the portal this offseason. Losing Donnie would stink, but I think we all figured he was going to be one-and-done. JJ is a different story. Cuse has to keep him.

I don't get to watch much basketball any more. I would watch every Syracuse game if I could (though I would probably be throwing a lot of things while I did). But I don't have the extra money to spend on buying what I would need to buy to watch them (Live TV + ACC Network). But looking at the stat lines, it looked pretty even. The only glaring differences were the turnovers and the free throws. Was Syracuse not driving to the basket at all, or were they just not getting any calls?

Stats don't really tell the story of the game. Credit to Syracuse for not quitting in the 2nd half, but it was over at halftime. Clemson shot 58% FG in the 1st Half, and JJ was the only reason Syracuse put up even 29 in the 1st Half. The Orange also weren't driving to the basket at all to start (just 6 points-in-the-paint in 1st Half).

I know this season is bad but looking ahead to next season, assuming everyone stays (which I know probably won’t happen) they’ll have leadership in JJ and Cuffe and they can also defend better than any of the seniors. If bell can find his shot that would be nice too. They have promising young players in Donnie, choppa, petar, kiyan, and Sadiq. And a wildcard in Chance Westry. Some guys will have to step up but I could see them being competitive

I love your optimism, but this year's team is primarily made up of upperclassmen so I don't think they lack leadership among the players. Also, you said in your comment, not everyone is going to stay. I believe three things need to happen for this team to be competitive next season (I'm assuming they're keeping Autry). Syracuse keeps JJ, they have a really good transfer class, and Kiyan/Sadiq come in as at least above average players.

The spread was 15.5. Was the player that slapped the ball away and hit a 3 in the final seconds betting on the game?

C'mon, most teams in ACC will be double digit losses to this team. We didn't have our second leading scorer- a 5 star by the way. How many games did we have Lampkin, JJ and Donnie healthy & able to get some chemistry? Let's be realistic.

Bell should be averaging 15 points easy. He should be benched until he decides to play up to his abilities.if we had a coach his ass would be scared to look at the bench unless he did what he was supposed to.

They all just stand around.. lil movement 3 man weave up top here and there.. dump it down to eddie whos just ok.. no transition no defenae.. carlos is clueless jumpin around like a child trying his best against way better players.. chris bell cant dribble hustle or play defense.. lucas taylor aha dont get me started
