Background info: This comes from a TV show in the Netherlands. People you see are all singers. They sing songs from each other and from totally others, like this one. For the record: This was the first time they (Tania and Tommie) sing together. Just mind blowing.

This was indeed a song from Freddy Murcury and Montserrar Caballe and it was the openingsong from the Olypmpic summer games 1992 in Spain. The performance from this video is for the Dutch programm Best singer from the Netherlands where famous Dutch singers compete to be the best singer from the year.

Their different styles of singing blended, went together, because the Writer is a Master at what he does- Freddie Mercury. Freddie styled this song to have a Rock singer, (Himself), & an Opera singer, Monserrate Caballe', collaborate. What a Masterpiece!

The original is indeed fantastic as Paul already said, but he is right, the more I listen to this one the more I appreciate it....they are really singing a beautifull tribute to Freddy and Montserat. Its sad today we heard that Montserat caballe died on the age of 86.

I have to say, as a queen fan. at first I was like, no, you don't touch that. But, the more I listen to it. the more i like the efford and the class that they displayed. in truth i think an honorfull cover of Freddy Murcury and Montserrat Caballé s masterpiece.

I'm just like that, Freddie is one of those "dont touch if you value your musical carrere" type of singers, you have to be more than good to be able to do his songs justice (dont have to sound like him, but you must do him justice) And this version i really love, a true honoring to the legend that is Freddie Mercury (and Montserrat)

To his credit, Tommy Christiaan stated in the show that he does not think he can be as good as Freddy Mercury was. Not by a long shot, he said. And let's be honest, he was blown away by Tania. He even crawled from the stage, haha. But, he sounded a bit like Freddy.

Liked the male singer more but opera voices don't really do it for me. She's probably technically a better singer (eh whatever lol) but his tone and ad libs move me more
