The penalty was the right call when seen from the back. The offsides were offside. It wasn't the officials, it was bad luck. On another day the result could have gone the other way.

Fair play to Bournemouth, possibly the best side we've faced this season, and doing it playing attacking football with key injuries is very impressive. The pen I thought was nonsense in real time with the angles they showed - but there is an angle from behind which shows Cook clearly clips Gakpo's foot right before he goes down - did seem like they was looking for a reason to give it though

It was a soft pen but it was still a pen based on the current rules. He clipped him, tripped him up & didn't play the ball or attempt to. It's plain as day with the right angle, watch MOTD. Either way, Bournemouth played really well but Liverpool were more clinical & a little bit better on the day. Ref was poor though.

The worst referee call of the night was when O. Dango won the ball off of Gravenberch to set up a counter and it wasn’t given! The ref was trying to overcompensate for a bad decision given against Liverpool last year, based on all the smaller calls in the middle of the park. The pen was debatable I’ve seen those not given for a “coming together” but it wouldn’t be overturned either. You guys were unlucky with some chances, Alisson was incredible, and Kluivert’s miss was shocking. Bournemouth is my second team so I hope you guys make Europe!

It's hard to take after going on such a run, but hats off to Liverpool. They are the best in England and Europe and there's absolutely no shame in losing to them, almost every team has before us this season. My first reaction was that he kicked his own calf and fell but as Cook crossed behind, he clipped the trailing foot. Not intentionally but it was a pen. I thought that Bournemouth played amazingly. @ he ran with the ball, it was in the build up, if you watch the game and not just the highlights you would see it…. Take nothing away from Liverpool, by far the best team we’ve played this season and the best in the league, but the referee was scandalous, I have never seen a free kick for offside taken in the attacking half of the pitch, not even close to the half way line, it was comical at times.
