Funny thing, although you think otherwise, Nail had every reason to be confident with insulting Vegeta. While Nail never really gets a good fight in the series, his later power level reading by Frieza reveals that he is WAY stronger than Vegeta at this moment. He could have destroyed Vegeta with ease, that's why he has no problem smack talking Vegeta.

Nail was the last legit warrior on Namek when Freeza invaded - this is according to Guru, right before Freeza and Nail fought. I suppose you could consider the three guys that Dodoria killed as warriors as well, but clearly Nail was the leader of this rapidly-vanishing, last generation of warrior clansmen.

The funny thing is that Nail could have completed ended Vegeta if he wanted to. His power level was confirmed to be around 450,000 at the time by Toriyama. Still not enough to beat Frieza but definitely more than enough to kick Vegeta to the curbside

Thank you for so many DBZ episodes! Next episode you meet The Ginyu Force, whom I am looking forward to see your reaction to! So, on to some info time! The name of the flamboyant guy killed last episode was Zarbon. I also feel like its worth mentioning that Gurus (Old fat Yoshi) role on Namek is the same as Kamis on earth. He made the Namekian Dragonballs, and if he dies, then those disappear too. The 20 years late joke only makes sense for those of who has watched the show, so don't worry to much about it. But try to remember it for the future, as it makes an appearance later on. I think that's all I have to say this time around. Next episode will be amazing. If you read this, thank you. I always want to help you guys understand stuff you might be confused about.

It's very important to me that us doing reaction videos brings benefit to the original creators in extra exposure and views. That's why we're always so conscious to keep mentioning that everyone should watch the original vids. When I our videos, I rewatch the episode and turn off my audio when there are things said that I missed so I get all the jokes. :-)

Okay, this has bugged me for a while, maybe someone who knows the series could explain. Why would Vegeta, or any Saiyan, want immortality? Because unless I'm overthinking it or immortality works differently in Dragon Ball, wouldn't a Saiyan lose their insane power boosts when beaten to near death since immortals can't die, thereby limiting how strong they could get or at least make it a lot harder than needed?

when a saiyan get beat to near death its like he gets a large power boost. immortality won't limit his power only increase the time it takes him to reach said power.

hmm yeah it never really made sense to me as well. also the fact that they never really abused it at least in dire situation. i mean think about it there are things that can completely heal you like senzus for example. so when fighting an overpowered enemy just let yourself get wounded by a friend and then take a senzu to immediately heal yourself while still gaining the power boost. you would become insanely strong insanely fast. the answer for both questions is pride though i guess. also that sayjans don't always think like humans. they are incredible prideful and crave challenges during a fight. that the reason son goku usually only uses his base form at first during most fight even though they could crush their enemies when transformed, it's just not fun. same goes for near death boost i suppose. it's just not fun (aka challenging) to become stronger that way, so they just ignore it. the power boost is a neat little thing, but nothing a sayjan would usually seek out on purpose. (tldr: near death boost is cheating and sayjans don't like cheating)

Immortal just means can't die, you could still be beat up a lot. Think about if garlic junior became immortal when goku was much stronger. Goku could beat him up over and over and over, it would hurt, and he could knock him unconscious or even put him in a coma, just not kill him. I'm pretty sure if vegeta became immortal, Freeza would just pound him over and over, eventually unwittingly making vegeta stronger than him.
