If she is then she needs to be studied. So many of these morbidly obese influencers say their weight loss stalls and/or they're big because they are "gaining muscle". After you've gone through newbie gains, a natural weight lifter will take MONTHS to gain a couple of lbs of muscle. I've been lifting for 2 yrs and recently gained 3kg/6 lbs after increasing my heavy lifting. I don't kid myself that it's all muscle because I've also been a bit lax with my diet. Maybe 1/3 of it could be muscle but the rest is fat and I'm well aware of that. These influencers claiming they are 300lbs+ predominantly muscle are absolutely ridiculous. If ONLY building muscle was that easy!

I think she's beyond help at this point. She twisted her previous doctor's sincere health advice into her being discriminated against and switched to a midwife that tells her what she wants to hear and sugarcoats everything. This is really dangerous. She had plenty of time before her pregnancy to lose weight, yet she kept binge eating and pushed pregnancy. Does she realize that if this ends badly, she will definitely be cancelled as an influencer. Her career will be terminated and she will face consequences.

Alex may not like the BMI chart, but it’s a very good base line. Many very athletic people are technically in the overweight category, and appear very fit, but they still suffer ailments. They are simply too big for their frame. Muscle or fat, your joints don’t care. Many retired NFL players work hard to get smaller AFTER their careers because they KNOW their bodies are too big. Alex has NEVER been fit, athletic or at a good weight. So for her to go from 400 to 325, she feels better. But she can’t imagine how great it would feel at 140. Walking and talking is a breeze, stairs, hikes, tying your shoes, no problem. Sitting with your legs crossed? She most likely never was able to at her smallest. If she got down to 250 she would feel like a rock star and stop working at getting even healthier. ( plus she would be absolutely unbearable). I suspect if she saw a very thin person, she wouldn’t think the BMI chart was inaccurate. The reason her phone is on the floor, is because the laws in RI and MA are VERY strict with phone usage. She hides it so the police won’t suspect anything and pull her over. If she keeps vlogging and driving, the quickest way to shut it down is to call the RI State Police. Locals are short handed and may not have time to yell at her. She’s pregnant, emotionally and performing for the camera .. what attention is she giving the road? I had an obese friend who died, and none of us have ever talked about "should we have said something" because we were afraid of destroying her precarious grip on trying to get healthy. She knew she had problems, she knew she had an Ed and sugar dependency, I don't think there's anything helpful we would have said. BUT. Alex deliberately got pregnant while obese and plans to gain over 10 lbs when she's already enormous. That is different. I would have confronted her and then dropped her when she refused to face reality. I think her husband and family are either afraid of her anger or they don't give a damn about that baby and just want her money, or both. He is absolutely to blame as much as she is. They are both disgraceful.

RE pregnancy and weight: i was 95,6kg at start of my pregnancy - 105,4 4 weeks before due date - so, a 10kg weightgain. And i was not nearly as obese as Alex . In my country, if your bmi is past 32, they recommend a max of 10kg during pregnancy, so thats what i did. If youre past 35ish, NO WEIGHTGAIN is recommended. She would be told to gain NO WEIGHT, in my country from public healthcare and her midwife, and her doctor. and there is also a BMI cap for getting fertility treatments here too...

Duodenal switch is usually what they do when a patient does not lose as much with RNY, usually for patients who were really really big and have a lot to lose. I had a mini gastric bypass which is another form of RNY (it's reveesable) and proven more weightloss. I had mine in 2019 and am now 140lbs (down 140lbs). I still maintain that she did not have RNY and had sleeve.

I had the gastric sleeve over a decade ago (and I had to pay for it myself - insurance would not pay). I'm 5'8" and weighed 375lbs when I got it and ended up around 190lbs. It's not easy and the surgery doesn't just magically do it for you. You still have to exercise and watch what you eat. If you go back to old habits you will regain weight. I just don't understand how she is still that big. I can't imagine what she's eating to maintain that weight. After 10 years I STILL can't even eat half of what I could eat before I had the surgery. I can't believe this woman is going to be responsible for another life. She can't even handle going into the grocery store - how is she going to handle the stress of a child?

I know midwives have their place - but probably with an otherwise healthy woman and one who has delivered before. If I had Alex's issues, the last thing I would do is use a midwife who smiles in my face instead of a doctor who can handle risky pregnancies. If the midwife is associated with a group practice in the ob-gyn clinic at the hospital, maybe, otherwise, nope.

We both got Covid-19's and the 2nd time it was easyier. It was easyier cause are body’s build up a immune system to it that is why when we were kids we were sick 24/7 and adults we are healthier cause are body’s built up a immune system to everything. It also cause we lost body fat to. When I was like 20% body fat which isn’t that fat at all compared to this girl the dr. Was like you are high risk to get it cause of my asthma and I got it and I got it extremely bad nothing like I was going to die though but up there like getting a stomach virus. When I got it recently I was like 17% body fat it was like getting a cold it was extremely easyier. Strange part of this is both times my weight as been the same 5 foot 7 in the 160plbs. My goal in life is to stay around 160plbs and just build muscle and lose body fat cause I got problems with food I love to eat plus 160plbs isn’t bad to be that size just take one day at a time to reach my goals. I got my body fat tested the other day and it was like you have to eat like 1600 calories a day and under to lose weight and I was like shit that isn’t going to happen 😂 I uselessly eat around 2,000 calories a day the secret is I just recently found out just eat more protein since I made it my goal each day to at least eat 150g of protein a day body fat just drops off of your body and who says you can’t crave protein doesn’t know what they talking bout cause lately I been craving a lot of protein foods of course it’s not as good as sugar foods . I am going to take it one day at a time my goal is to have a 6 pack but I am not going to fight it if my body doesn’t want it if it gives me signs I have to eat more I will like I said before i love to eat food as long as I get to a healthy body fat size I am happy. I also have like 1 or 2 cheat days a week and I tell myself Paul we not going to eat this junk food 24/7 like you used to my highest in weight was 190plbs at 5 foot 7 and I was like this girl at the time I used to say I had a lot of muscle.

Another comment I just wonder if Alexandra has his fear case of polycystic ovarian disease that causes obesity in the worst way plus gestational diabetes during pregnancy if you can get pregnant, excessive hair on the body, acne and other issues that appears to be quite evident in Alexandra‘s Body, I had PCOS and with my second pregnancy I gained over 100 pounds but I found a doctor that help me get my weight down. I was insulin resistant all my levels in my body skyrocketed and I had a mini stroke from the high cholesterol caused by the PCOS. I’m just assuming this but the symptoms are there. I don’t know about her menstrual cycle, but most women with PCOS do not have regular menstrual cycles but if she does have this syndrome, she’s not gonna admit to it, my prayer is that God will protect that baby in her womb and at the truth will come out and she will realize that she is a high-risk pregnancy and only God can take care of her and she has to listen to people.
