Thank you. Every time I hear yet another story about a “stunning and brave” family encouraging their husband/father to be his authentic self, I worry about the wife and children. I don’t believe these stories and I would like to hear the truth. Thank you for making this film.

I once deeply loved a man, (I was never married to him, and we never had kids), who struggled with these issues. Not because of AGP, but because of mental illness, mainly. Plus internalized sexism, due to being a soft, gender non-conforming kind of man, secondly. And.. I'm also bi. (As was he.) So I used to think: "I can be a good, supportive 'ally', and 'affirm' any partner that wants to do this to himself / herself! Look at me, being such a good, progressive trans ally!" But.. in the end, how it actually turned out..? Was: "I LOVE you, and I also love your body. I can see that you are hurting, and that hurts me too. But I can't encourage you in a mental illness based quest to destroy your body, and escape yourself. I can't watch someone that I love irreversibly harm themselves, over a cult like, quasi religious ideology based on LIES, that I no longer believe in." ..The "no longer believing in it" part had been a gradual unravelling process, (over years), that I'd been in complete denial about, as it went on. ("Can't be a horrible TERF, and I've got to be SUPPORTIVE", etc.) But when suddenly, this stuff affected someone that I dearly LOVED..? I just couldn't do it anymore. Funny, that. Even though I'm open to loving women, too. You fall in love with someone's body as it is, and as a part of them, and there's a sacred and inviolable element to that, no matter if they're male or female! Plus if they "transition", they don't actually become the opposite sex. They just physically harm themselves, in a botched Uncanny Valley attempt to somewhat RESEMBLE it. Which.. I don't want that. I want the person that I love to REMAIN the person that I love, (physically, too), and also NOT to be dissociated from themselves to the point that they try to escape who they are, and deny reality! Not the typical story, but I just felt like sharing it here, for some reason. Because it's assumed that: "oh, at least bi people HAVE TO be fine with this!" And.. NO. Not me. Not necessarily. Being bi doesn't mean I'll support delusion based self-harm, over this sexist, regressive, horrible worldview, or that I don't also fall in love with my partner's body as it is, and don't want to see it destroyed. ..SO glad I didn't support it.

Just listening to the Jane Hawking biography. She calls herself a physics widow as that is what she feels she comes second to in her marriage to Stephen Hawking. Apparently Einstein's wife cited physics as the 'other party' in her marriage- in the divorce courts.

Yes, but there are also similar stories from men who come second to their wife's careers, or obsessions. Also, Hawking and Einstein weren't "trans-physicists". They really were physics geniuses and didn't have much of a choice.

@@douglasfreeman3229 Hmmm. My point was about wives and the utility of the term widow to describe absent husbands in the marriage. Absent men/fathers are the norm. Over 90% of single parents are women so you really need to jog on champ.

@@douglasfreeman3229 It's NOT a competition. We are talking about it from a 'woman's' perspective. The word 'widow' is a clue. As opposed to widower. We can all give opposite sex examples of anything but most of the time that's a time-wasting distranction that serves no purpose to the very specific point being made. And again, your 'trans-physicist' remark seems very off key. A very simple example of how the word 'widow' can be used colloquially eg sports widows meaning they've lost their husbands to their obsession with sports so much so that they never see and/or can engage in any meaningful manner with them and they feel like the man they married is dead. You took, Jan Hawkins' same concept of being a physics widow and irrationally twisted it into being a 'trans-physicist'🙄. Time to seek help for your impaired thinking.

NickyM_0 You and the poster above you seem to forget that the women pick the men and then complain about them being involved in their job or hobby. I'm defending normal men not the ones talked about in the video. I fully empathize with the trans widows.

shiftshift6926 11 you seem to ignore the fact that the 90% of the single women pick the men they picked. Women have a responsibility for picking good men. Yes some can deceive I know all about narcissists. But there are many women that left perfectly normal men because they've been brainwashed by The cult of feminism. Trans widows are a totally different story and I empathize with their betrayal.

Where can i find the documentary

You can find the documentary on the KZbin channel Lime Soda Films, it is called Behind the Looking Glass. It is an excellent documentary! These stories from women across the world, are so poignantly horrific, yet powerful. It’s heartbreaking to hear, but you see the strength and growth in each of them. Vaishnavi did such a wonderful job, at allowing these women to tell their stories, and showcasing what hero’s they all are. She is extremely talented at what she has done. These women really couldn’t have found a better person to amplify their stories.

Why do you want to normalise narcissistic abuse? Why do you want to normalise women tolerating the psychological abuse of autogynephilies?
@Grimaceschaos06
@Grimaceschaos06 Ай бұрын
What are you talking about normalizing narcissistic abuse, or the psychological abuse of autogynephiles? Did you even listen to what the podcast was about? She has made a documentary telling the story of the abused, how they realized they were being abused, how they got away, and how they finally reclaimed their lives. She told the story of women who were victims, and allowed the fact that they are all heroes in their own right, to shine through. You should take a look at it. She doesn’t put her own agenda in the film, she allows the audience to see the stories, and make up their own minds.

For over 23 years, I've had a better half who treats me like a queen. There is not a moment during the day he is not naturally showing his love. I've often said that if more men in the world were like him, we would have a much safer, happier, peaceful society. I tend to dive deep into humanity's crisis rabbit holes & this is one. My better half & I have discussed this topic & even he has said, oh honey...I think that would be too much. We would always be friends & I would always love you, but no. With a man who has shown the depth of his commitment time & time again during our life trials, this would be the no go for each of us. Thankfully, each of us understands. This is such an indication of deep mental issues, addictions, fetish culture, porn, influence & unresolved trauma. As a mother of 4 young adults, 3 on the Autism spectrum, I've watched the traps. I've seen the influences. Thankfully, all my kids are safe from this gender nightmare... But my daughter's spectrum husband was not. It ruined their marriage & left 2 special needs children without a father. My heart aches for every loved one having to experience this nightmare in their circles.
