I have 17 yrs sobriety. I can’t get life Insurance in the US due to being too high risk from my past addiction. I have literal perfect health, weigh 135, (60kg), run 5miles a day,(8km), great labs, etc. but addiction treatment is in my medical records from almost 2 decades ago. I was upset, but accept it. Is it “discrimination” NO. It’s a consequence of my past choices. Sucks but what can I do.

Lol she is ridiculous… Insurance companys have a century worth of DATA. They have better predictors for death than most doctors. I got my first life insurance policy at 20 bc i was constantly traveling - and it was a valuable policy and they sent a nurse to my house to get a physical. and i was probably 140lbs at 5’4… My great grands live over 100 - my grands had no precexisting conditions and very few extended fam had obesity yet they sent blood and stool samples to the lab. I still paid out the nose as a kid. Alex needs to shuttup and live in REALITY. My bf and i still get reviewed being middle aged

This has to be one of my favorite videos! The life insurance company is still a business and they need to make money. Plus as a business they have every right to deny service to a potential client. People can be accepted for who they are but when you are very obese, it’s showing a problem with your mental health/ behaviors (not using overweight, I myself am 5ft 1in and 130lbs, but I workout 5-6 days a week now!) people always can change and better themselves, I truly believe it, but you have to work hard and have determination! lol I think it’s so cute/ funny you asked if I’m from Italy! I work in insurance. While I don't agree that weight and health are equivalent, they ARE heavily correlated. What Alex doesn't understand is that while she says (who knows if it's true) that she's currently healthy, even if reality, at her weight, she is STATISTICALLY more likely to suffer from comorbities in the future. And that's what insurance companies are looking at- statistics and forecasting the future. So she's really putting her ignorance on display here.

Credentials wise, Alan worked for many years in the health area managing hospital departments. He is also an expert on weight loss and has written books about the subject. He and his wife who is a yoga instructor, have a business coaching individuals on how to lose weight in a safe manner.

I have a question for you. Some people are fat, not because they are lazy, or eating the wrong things but due to their need for steroids to breath, for example or, thyroid conditions, etc. There’s tons of reasons. Sometimes genetics do play a part. My husband is bigger but he eats significantly less than me and hates sweets! He doesnt treat his body like shit. He is active and works hard all thru the day for our family So, why judge people because of their body, when, truly we do not know what their issue is? With Alexandra, she is annoying but there are things about her life we do not know. Her body clearly wants to balloon up. Because god forbid she has TRIED. She just doesnt know how OR she literally can’t help “most” of her weight.

Hi love, while I appreciate your comment, I have to disagree. There is nothing like that going on with Alexandra. She has even admitted she has a food obsession she should go and get that fixed. When I say fixed I mean by a psychologist or psychiatrist it’s not the fact that she’s big I’m not picking on her because she is big it’s because she lies about everything I don’t know how long you’ve been a supporter of her, but I’ve been a supporter of her since day one and she has changed and she’s nothing, but a man manipulator and a liar now.

A person don’t look like she does without eating a lot refined sugars and processed carbohydrates in solid or liquid form. Her insulin levels are sky high. There are many visible signs of this on her face and body. She is never in a fat burning state with her constant eating and low nutrient density food choices. Every time you eat, insulin rises. This causes fat storage. Estrogen is fat storing. She’s estrogen dominant which causes all kinds of health issues. If she fasted, she would immediately get her gherlin hormone lowered to start fat burning and release fat stores. She never skips a meal, never allows her body to focus on digestion and cellular repair. You see what she wants you to see on camera. Sure there may be a genetic component to her propensity to gain weight, but it does not make someone balloon up to 400+lbs. It’s a cop out to say she can’t help her weight like it’s not within her power to control. She is the one making these choices. There is no obesity in nature because animals eat their biologically appropriate diet. Cookies, cakes, doughnuts, industrialized seed oils, chips, pastas, fried corn dogs, fair foods, artificial sweeteners, refined sugars and processed carbs are not foods humans should be eating (at least not often). These are the mainstays of her diet. I do think her SSRI medications have screwed up her brain’s hunger cues. Her appetite is voracious but she takes dainty bites on camera to look as though she only picks at her food. The body doesn’t lie. Alex continues to lie and pretend she is a victim. She’s the one at the wheel and needs to be honest and take responsibility for her actions but’s she is incapable of this. Her viewers don’t deserve to be manipulated and lied to.

She had GASTRIC BYPASS surgery for weight loss and SHE failed it. The surgery did not fail. It can’t fail unless the person doesn’t do the proper lifestyle change. It is a tool. If you don’t use the tool properly, it’s clearly not going to work properly. I have PCOS and spent my entire adult life trying to lose weight but due to insulin resistance and slow metabolism, it took forever to lose weight any time I tried. My life can’t wait forever and it was important to have a life for my children. I took control, had the same surgery she supposedly had and did all the right things with the lifestyle change. Bodies are not “meant to be big”. Alexandra doesn’t want to do the work that needs to be put in to be healthy. Being overweight, obese and morbidly obese is NOT healthy, and bloodwork doesn’t tell the whole story. Also, most of us aren’t judging her for being fat. Shes a damn liar that has been caught lying time and time again. In this video alone she lied quite a few times. Furthermore, she uses her “fat” to place blame on others. Lastly, the things you mentioned about being fat - those can be dealt with to lose the weight. Reasons to to be fat are stupid excuses. I can say that because I once weighed 350lbs.
