Yeah, dude! I completely agree; I think, at least with Xal'atath, they've kind of done a breadcrumb thing all the way back to Legion. She's been sort of in the background, and I guess if you weren't playing a Shadowpriest in Legion, some might not know who she is. And then there's also the BFA questing you can do to set her free from the dagger with her deal with N'zoth. But I think either way, my point is, she's been a slow-burn, and I think it's really, really paying off. She's treacherous, manipulative, intelligent, and hot to boot. I honestly think she's the best villain they've done in a decade or so. She, single-handedly, kind of makes this whole three-expansion arc compelling. And Alleria, being about as OG as an OG can be, dating back to Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal.... Placing those two at odds with one another is a really good idea; especially now that we're getting some exposition about Alleria's history. My only true gripe with all of this ends up being how the story is so messed up that the Horde has to feel "shoed-in" at this point. Alleria herself has basically spat in your face as a Horde player, and it definitely detracts from the story when, yet again, you have to quest under neutral but Alliance adjacent NPC #312, who doesn't so secretly hate your guts. It gets tiring.

Yea it’s been nice having already established history as the antagonist. I am a little worried in how they’re steering Alleria already though. I don’t want another Tyrande solo murder expedition.
