Actually, this is one of the Pentatonix videos that has production credits on IMDB. The director, Alon Isocianu, and producer, Ryan Huffman, have extensive music video credits. The director also directed their 2015 video for "Can't Sleep Love". There are also credits for cinematography and production design.

Lots of theories about this...a couple of bad breakups, body dysmorphia, Avi leaving, Mitch's early bullying for 'girl's' voice and sexual orientation and Scott fully coming into his own as a singer/ creator/producer- any and all of their growth is in the mix. Cocoon to butterfly. Also, love your shirt!

Thanks for this reaction! Its beautiful that you really take your time with the analysis and appreciate each song. And you have so much more to discover with ptx. They are so versatile. I think you would enjoy listening to "come along" 😊 It's a relatively short one, but a lot happens in it. The original is also interesting and not so well known. And the really fun time will come with the christmas season. 😍 so many masterpieces.

Your analyses are...a step above pretty much all of the others on KZbin. I get SO much more appreciation of videos after you point out all the cool stuff I missed visually, audially, emotionally, etc.

This is from Pentatonix's 2021 originals album, "The Lucky Ones", but it was released as a single in August of 2020. Not sure when the video was filmed but it seems like it had to be in 2019, or very early 2020, before the pandemic shut everything down. Pentatonix was in the middle of a world tour in 2019-2020 but had breaks in the fall and winter when they could have filmed this.

I'm so glad you liked this video. From your previous analysis I thought it might be up your alley. Now my next recommendation may seem off the wall, but Pentatonix collaborated with Todrick Hall to "remake" The Wizard of Oz using only contemporary music. It's a complete musical in 5 minutes and I think you'd really like it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5y5ln6YZ86aqMk

Closer to seven minutes, actually, but that's a feature. The important thing is to make sure that he's watched the original movie first. I'm tired of reactors wondering where the Oompa Loompas came from.

Wow!! What a great analysis of this special song. I'd love to know who comes up with the visual concepts for their videos. There are several PTX pieces from that time period which are visually and vocally interesting that I think you may be interested in delving into: Mad World, Over The River, My Favourite Things.

I love this one so much! What an excellent analysis!! 🙌🏻 I believe all of them have dealt with some mental health issues regarding breakups and acceptance and this was a perfect illustration of how that progression is not always straightforward… feels like 1 step forward and 3 steps back at times while you are wading through those darker emotions. Such a positive outcome and an awesome song that definitely left me feeling Happy Now!! ❤ Love your reactions!

I so appreciate your analyses. You explain why I feel what I feel as this song, in particular, goes along. Someone else mentioned their cover of Mad World, and I second that suggestion. Thanks. Peace …

Thank you so much for your analysis of this video; it helps to know what it is about it that moves me so. My husband killed himself last year and and these are exactly the emotions I'm working through right now.

Catchy song. Professionally done. Somehow I listen to them less since Avi left them and chose a solo career. But they are good. Very talented. They have a really big audience. I liked your reaction.

Avi had a deeper voice and was outstanding. Matt is a better fit and has the rest of PTXs energy which Avi lacked. If I had to pick one and everything was equal, I would probably pick Avi. but Matt brings a lot and he is the nicest guy and the group seemed to have gotten closer when he joined. 90% of the vocals are done by Kirstie, Mitch and Scott and the baseline has not suffered with Matt. Scott is the glue and the most overall talent. I think he and Kevin would be the hardest to replace. Not sure why you watch them less but they have not skipped a beat changing out Avi.
@tynatyna9119 Жыл бұрын
@@scottboyd9383 Yes, you are probably right about the compatibility of energies. I don't dispute that. Matt is awesome. Pentatonix has not lost its quality. The fact that I listen to them a little less does not mean that I do not listen to them at all and that I appreciate them less. They are a top quality a cappella band. It's just that Avi's departure coincided with an expansion of some of my musical interests.

Hi David….I just found your channel…..I always subscribe to new reactors who find PTX for the first time….Welcome to the world of PTX…..My first PTX song was Bohemian Rhapsody…….Also,it took them 6 years to pull this Masterpiece off..Enjoy jumping down their massive rabbit hole. Your channel will blow up……Great job……Judy D 😂

I can't help but think some of this video may be inspired by the Hindu holiday, Holi, a celebration of good triumphing over evil and the coming of Spring. In some areas, Holi is celebrated by street gatherings where everyone throws brightly colored powder and / or colored water at everyone else. The throwing motions some of the group do as the color appears reminds me of Holi videos I have seen.

This is the best of PTX so far, that you have chosen for the channel. The video visuals kept it interesting to watch as well. I'm not denying the talent, but my heart is still elsewhere.

I so look forward to your analyses of music I love! Anything PTX does would be so great. I'd especially be interested in your take on Come Along, one I truly love. On another note, they did a cover of Strome's Papautai that few reactors see (it's in French). The original is fabulous and the story of Stromae's youth without his father. The two are both incredible and well worth and analysis. Plus, it might introduce you to another wonderful song writer (Stromae). Thank you!
